    Scud is the most common colloquial name for them! They’re freshwater amphipods, a type of crustacean.

    Scuds I guess. Some people don’t care for them, but I personally find them interesting to observe. They move and behave in such an unusual way.

    Start breeding them! Some people would buy them for fish food.
