Gaming chairs are overrated
Are you wondering if you should get a gaming chair? This video questions the necessity of the popular gaming accessory, and whether a normal office chair is a better option. It’s time to review whether your gaming setup really needs that new chair, or if you should invest in other pc gaming accessories to improve your comfort. #tech #gaming #ergonomicchair
Gaming chairs are the most overrated thing ever. Just because racers use them, it doesn’t mean that you’re supposed to use it as well. If a racer can withstand so many G-forces and feel comfortable for two to four hours in it, then sure enough, you’ll be really comfortable playing video games on. Forget about the looks and that it’s not the same thing. Drivers ride like this with the steering wheel attached here. You don’t have a steering wheel. You’ve got a keyboard and you’ve got to keep moving around like this. That being said, my autonomous chair is more than sufficient, but the head thing just fell off. It just broke off. I don’t know why. I should have probably gotten a racing chair.

Get a library chair. Meant to sit in read for hours. Perfectly adept for gaming. Always something on marketplace
I got a Herman Miller Aeron from a state surplus sale for $10. It will out live me.
Just get what you think is comfy. Nobody can tell you what chair is good or not but you.
I have a secretlabs chair given to me for Christmas and I love it. Most would say it’s overpriced or not good but I love it. I hate the ergonomic mesh chairs as they feel itchy normally for me.😊
I just like being able to change the angle of the seat to back as well as adjust the height of the armrests. I've found most racing gaming chairs have this, but most computer chairs that aren't that style don't.
I seriously don’t understand what is people’s issue with gaming chairs. Maybe they just buy the shit nock off ones but I’ve had mine for about a decade and it’s way nicer than any desk chair I’ve ever used. The curved back kills my back. I don’t understand how people can sit in office chairs for longer than 10 minutes
Also the shape. The support on the sides is because racers pull Gs. Gamers hardly pull anything
Markus from IKEA is god-tier.
kinda sounded like carterpc their at the end
Best thing you can do is go to an office surplus store, there are usually a few in every major metro area. Then pick yourself up a used chair from a brand like Steelcase, haworth, or Herman Miller. All have fantastic build quality. I like Steelcase and Haworth best because Herman millers hold their value too well, meaning they will cost you more. You can get an Leap V2 or a Zody in good condition for $200 and it will blow any new chair in that price range out of the water while probably outlasting the new chair as well.
Any fuckass office chair will suffice
No need to waste up to $500 on that thing
I dont understand how people pay multiple hundreds of dollars for those super uncompfortable and flimsy gaming chairs. For the same money you cant get a high end buro chair thats actually made to be compfortable and last long
I personally have been really happy with my secretlab chair, compared to other racing types I've tried, especially the dxracer series, the foam is much harder, which has done more for my ability to sit for long periods than anything else. Soft foam kills my back and my legs get tired quick. Not to mention the seat and backrest recline separately, and when you're fully reclined you're really far back, but the chair still feels really stable unless you try adjusting weird and send your center of gravity too far back. But from a normal seated position to fully reclined it's pretty solid. In my early college days I'd used to sleep in my chair on days my back hurt instead of my bed. I got one for my dad for his new office too and it's been great for him since he spends a lot of time at his desk. And my mom who does IT.The Batman design is a plus too, I'm a sucker for Batman stuff.
I recognize it won't be for everyone, but they've got a 49 day return window and returning the chair is covered by them, so try it out if you're curious. Also it's half the cost of herman miller. Also their support team replaced my seat base the day before my warranty expired, even though it was wear and tear and that's not covered so that was nice. You should always invest in the things that come between you and the ground, you shoes, your chair, and your bed
There’s no way your name is Ryan Kennedy. This is the most Turkish looking dude ever. Napiyon kanka. Turksun lan
True, my gaming chair is worse than my dining room chair
Just get an office chair, meant for hours of non stop work and keeping you comfy
Can sit in mine for more than a day if i wantef without getting uncomfy
Use old plane and office chairs
That’s why I play with controller and I use a recliner! Win win
i bought a 'gaming' chair and it's not very comfortable, with the cushions its worse. It probably doesn't help that its made for kids.
I got an office chair from a company that sells to businesses. Comfortable and durable.. if you need a head rest for your chair… you are in the wrong chair. (you need a recliner if you need a head rest)
