From COUNTRY GARDEN CLUB OF PERRYSBURG
Country Garden Club of Perrysburg (CGC) is currently accepting proposals for its 2026 community projects.
Grants may be awarded to nonprofit, government, or civic organizations, or schools, whose endeavors align with the vision and mission of CGC, according to Jane Moore, chair of the club’s community project program.
“Country Garden Club’s vision is to be a recognized leader in the beautification of Perrysburg and the preservation of northwest Ohio’s natural environment through education, collaboration, advocacy, and funding,” said Moore. “Our mission is to promote the knowledge of horticulture and conservation and to enhance the community’s natural environment.
Moore added, “In evaluating proposals, we give a great deal of weight to the project’s potential to serve and benefit the current public and future generations within northwest Ohio.”
Project proposal forms are available on the club’s website at www.cgcperrysburg.com. The deadline for submission is Thursday, Jan. 15, 2026. Questions may be directed to cgccommunityprojects@gmail.com.
In 2025, CGC funded more than $40,000 in projects. The largest project was “Scraps to Soil,” Perrysburg’s new compost initiative. Also funded were the Way Library, Historic Fort Meigs, Toledo Day Nursery, W.W. Knight, Toledo School for the Arts, Wood County Parks, Hospice of Northwest Ohio, and the City of Perrysburg holiday decorations.
The annual trunk show, held each October, provides the majority of funding for the club’s community projects.
