This Christmas, visitors to National Trust Ham House and Garden are being invited to capture and keep their favourite festive moments, as part of the Trust’s partnership with leading photo printing company, CEWE.
From 1 December 2025 to 5 January 2026, a pop-up CEWE Photostation will be on-site at Ham House and Garden. Visitors will have the opportunity to print up to five high-quality instant print photos for free during their visit – allowing them to turn their on-the-day snaps into lasting keepsakes.
The National Trust’s Ham House and Garden, a historic seventeenth-century house on the River Thames in Richmond, provides the perfect setting for a family day out this Christmas.
Open daily from 12pm to 4pm, visitors are invited to explore the beautifully decorated house and gardens, and enjoy a variety of seasonal activities, including family-friendly crafts, fancy dress, and letter writing to the North Pole. Elsewhere in the house, Christmas jingles and a showstopping sugar banquet display will bring even more festive cheer.
With this year’s theme of ‘Stars of Wonder’, guests can follow a special spotter trail as they take in sparkling Christmas trees, aromatic greenery, and twinkling candlelight along the way. For a warming treat, the Orangery Café is the ideal spot for tasty hot drinks and snacks.
Following the festive fun, visitors can ensure their visit is one to remember by printing and preserving memories from the day instantly with CEWE’s free photo prints.
The CEWE Photostation, located in the Ham House dining room, is simple and easy to use. Visitors can print directly from smartphones and cameras and receive five high-quality prints in minutes.
The exclusive Christmas pop-up forms part of CEWE’s partnership with the National Trust, which helps to preserve and share the nation’s stories through the Trust’s vast photography collections.
Petra Felgen, Managing Director of CEWE UK, said: “Christmas is the perfect time to capture magical memories, and we’re so pleased that our pop-up CEWE Photostations at National Trust locations will help visitors create an extra-special memento from their festive visit.
“Through our partnership with the National Trust, we want to celebrate the joy of photography and how it can bring treasured moments to life. This is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the fabulous festive season at Ham House and Garden and bring home a piece of the magic with our special photo prints.”
Anna Dempf, Visitor Operations and Experience Manager at National Trust Ham House and Garden, said: “This year, Ham House’s Christmas decorations draw inspiration from our 18th century celestial globe. Throughout the estate, visitors can enjoy fairy lights, beautiful decorations and twinkling candlelight. Family fun returns in the form of a spotter trail around the house, letter writing to the North Pole, dressing up as Santa or one of his helpers, as well as Christmas-themed origami workshops.
“Our visitors loved the CEWE Photostation last year, as it gave them a quick and free memento of their visit. Ham House and Garden gives visitors the chance to escape into our world of sumptuous decorations for a little while over the festive period, and it is even better to know that they have their favourite moments captured and printed, ready to display when they’re back home, all thanks to CEWE.”
