The Board of Directors and Woman’s Board of the Chicago Horticultural Society kicked off the holiday season in style with a memorable seventh annual Lightscape Preview Party at the Chicago Botanic Garden. The evening offered an exclusive first look at Lightscape, the 1.3-mile spectacle of dazzling lights and immersive displays that is reimagined with fresh installations each year and has become a beloved North Shore holiday tradition.

Over 750 attendees enjoyed the festive light trail and and picturesque garden views, with the event being co-chaired by board members Sam Jacobs and Jane S. Park and Woman’s Board members Kim Carrow and Linda Falatico. The celebration was brought to life even further with creative contributions from Elegant Event Lighting and TheShyFlower.

Guests explored striking new installations by international artists—including Singularity and Bright Blooms & Growing Pines—alongside more traditional favorites like the Winter Cathedral and Singing Trees. Signature “Glitter & Glow” cocktails and cinnamon apple bourbon splash were served, paired with a dinner of paella con pollo y viera, braised short ribs and Parisian gnocchi. Over $1.2 million was raised in support of the Garden’s efforts, supporting the Garden’s vital work in plant conservation science, urban agriculture learning and the curation of the living museum.
