Colorado’s award-winning fantasy author and illustrator, Z.S. Diamanti, is visiting our mountain village to share stories and insights about his newest book, “The Guard in the Garden.”
This cozy fantasy tells the story of Felton Holdum, an elite dwarven warrior who, after an injury, learns to embrace a new life he never expected. Join us for a heartwarming journey of healing and self-discovery, where new friendships are made, fears are faced, and family bonds and romance quietly grow.
We’ll learn about what inspired the charming village setting, how characters who show courage through kindness are developed, and why cozy fantasy resonates deeply with many readers today. If you enjoy heartwarming adventures, this author talk will give you a glimpse into the creative process behind stories of heroes and hope.
After the author’s talk, our partners at Macdonald Bookshop will have copies of Diamanti’s books available for purchase and signing. Free child care will be provided for attendees who would like to bring their little warriors along for the adventure.
Z.S. Diamanti wrote the epic fantasy adventure “Stone & Sky” series and “The Guard in the Garden,” the first book in the “Fables of Finlestia” cozy fantasy series. He is a United States Air Force veteran and worked in ministry for over ten years before focusing on creative endeavors full-time. He lives in Colorado with his wife and four children, and enjoys hiking, camping, and tabletop games.
