A local Winter Garden woman was struck and killed by a car while riding her bike Tuesday, Dec. 9.
According to the Winter Garden Police Department, officers arrived to the intersection of State Road 50 and Beulah Road around 6:13 p.m. after receiving a call regarding a vehicle and a cyclist.
WGPD said it has been determined the cyclist made an immediate turn into traffic to cross the highway and pulled out in front of a 16 year old, who struck her.
The cyclist succumbed to her injuries.
No other information was released as this remains an active investigation.
