Up until now, all the leaves looked like classic Manjula leaves. The last couple it has put out are really different in that the leaves aren’t totally flat. They are sort of folded and wavy. It reminds me of a shangri la. I’m having trouble determining if it’s an actual mutation or some other issue. Can aroids mutate mid vine?

For care context, this cutting came off the top of the moss pole it was on. This section grew past the top of the pole as I hadn’t had time to extend it. I’m generally really good about keep the pole moist, but there’s been a couple times where it got crunchy and dehydrated. Maybe that’s all this is? Got a little too dry when the new leaf was coming out?

I honestly love the way it looks lol. I went ahead and chopped it off (needed to in order to extend the pole) and have it propping in water now.
