    Leave them until the spring. The flowers help protect new buds from frost and they’re great for wildlife over winter

    Nothing until spring. It will drop many leaves but the heads help protect the buds as well as providing refuge for over-wintering insects such as ladybirds. Also birds like tits can find invertebrate food there.
