So, not only are people surprised that you can successfully garden in central Texas, period, but one of the best times to garden in central Texas is in the fall and winter. So, let’s go do a harvest. I was pretty sure there was a ripe pumpkin in here somewhere. Pumpkin. It probably could have stayed on the vine a little bit longer, but it’ll ripen up and be really tasty. And as much as I would love to be a very aesthetic garden basket girly, uh the plastic buckets are just easier to wash out and your stuff doesn’t get like stuck in the little grooves, which like please tell me I’m not the only one that that drives me nuts. Oh well, didn’t mean to do that. I don’t know if these carrots are ready or not, but let’s try and pull one out and see. Oh jeez, that carrot was not ready. Also, I know a lot of creators give their chickens all this stuff. Um, I have a bassid hound that I give this stuff to. So, hey, this is certainly a weird one for December, but it’s the only time I can seem to actually harvest scotch bonnets. This is a scotch bonnet pepper that I grow literally only for the purpose of my husband to use in his uh group famous Jamaican jerk chicken. These are yellow scotch bonnets. I am a spice wimp and I don’t even eat his Jamaican jerk chicken because it’s too spicy for me. So, these are for him. Just like one turnup randomly got huge and none of the other ones are ready. So, not sure what I’m going to do with one turnup. I was 38 weeks pregnant when I planted this absolute chaos of a fall and winter garden. I have no idea where anything is. I literally just dumped seed packets, rad, and said, “Good luck, Chuck.” So, it’s all a surprise for both of us. You know, this appears to be another root crop. The leaves look a little more rudga to me. Oh yeah, that’s definitely a rudabagga. Also, can somebody tell me why in all these lettuce mixes um arugula is the only thing that grows out of these lettuce mixes and um which is hilarious because I don’t even really like arugula. I was picking a rose just so you can smell it. I can’t be the only person that does this. These Sunbelt South Africa roses smell like honey. So if you’re in a warm zone and you think that fall and winter gardening isn’t worth it, just want to remind you that on like a cloudy, chilly day, your garden could look like this. Just flying.

😂I direct seeded don't bok Choi at the end of spring and it has been…. Struggling until about two weeks ago it's now three inches tall and looks like it's going to survive. Bless.

Just wish my ''hair" could look like yours!😅😂😊
How can anyone not like arugula? ❤
Really looking good. It is surprising how much a fall garden can produce. It is just so hot when you have to plant the fall garden.
