Context: there used to be a beautiful tree that perfectly blocked the view of the street by my neighbors removed it and seem to have no plans to replace. I live in the PNW and this spot get moderate light.

You can see I only have a small triangle of dirt available on my side of the fence and need to leave a clear walkway where the concrete is. Does anyone have advice for what I could either plant or put in planter pot(s) in this area to block some of the visibility to street? I’d also like it to be something that can be purchased fairly tall already (vs planting something small and needing to wait years for it to grow).

Thank you in advance for any suggestions!

    A camellia maybe? Evergreen, you can get them pretty large and they grow about a foot a year. I’ve seen them get very tall around here in moderate light (also pnw).

    * Saskatoon serviceberry (Amelanchier alnifolia)
    * Cascara (Rhamnus purshiana)
    * Pacific wax Myrtle (Myrica californica)
    * Oveanspray (Holodiscus discolor)
    * Pacific ninebark (Physocarpus capitatus)
    * Beaked hazelnut (Corylus cornuta)
    * Vine maple (Acer circinatum)

    Disclaimer, I’m not a resident to that region. These are just what I’ve come across over the years.
