Hi all!

I’m trying to learn to read my plants. Depending on that more than a watering schedule. I gave these 2 inch pot guys a good soak 4 weeks ago. They are in my mix of perlite, mineral stones, grit and a pinch of soil. I did not remove all of the soil from around the base of the plant when I brought them home so they didn’t fall apart.

Is this the amount of wrinkles I should look for? Should I wait for more wrinkles or is it time to water now? Thank you.

The wrinkles would tell me yes, but I would pull out of posts and see how dry it really is first

Looks like it to me. Small pots dry out faster than large pots so I wouldn’t be surprised if these were nice and dry after four weeks. Do you bottom water?

  3. You can definitely water.

I usually water my Corpuscularia lehmannii when I see wrinkles on just a few leaves.

These guys are dramatic and thirstier than other succulents. 4 weeks sounds like a stretch for these – but depends on substrate and other factors too.

Ice plants are more water hungry than a lot of my non succulent plants. I have to water mine weekly or they shrivel up and die.

You know this picture is interesting to me. I recently purchased this plant and it had three branches on it. Two branches were plump and gorgeous. The other one was wrinkled terribly. And no matter what care I gave it, it stayed wrinkled, but only that one branch. I’m not sure what it meant, but I did cut that branch out. Yours just needs water.
