When you nurture a plant like a living painting, time frames it, seasons color it, and each morning the wind adds a new stroke.
At first glance, you might think this photo is fake — but it’s absolutely real. This plant is a bougainvillea topiary. It didn’t grow into this shape on its own. Its owner put in the work: pruning in spring to encourage branching, controlling water in summer to promote blooming, keeping it warm in winter to prevent frost damage, and boldly cutting off weak stems (bougainvilleas thrive the more you prune!). Little by little, that’s how this beauty was cultivated!
