It’s always nice to see the unity between water and gardenscapes. There’s so much utility there, being able to direct (and manage) water with grotesques, gutters, weeps, polders, ponds, creeks and bioswales.
When you’re around a lot of tarmac and concrete, you can see the difficulty in directing the flow of water to prevent flooding and other damage. The soil is much more accomplished for this, and the right plants will thrive in the moisture.
The chain also produces a cool visual effect when the water charges across it’s length. Very nice, indeed!

So excited for the rain garden I started last spring to fill in, already seeing so much less runoff throughout my yard from my native, deep rooted planting

I have a rain chain in my California garden which leads to a perforated pipe under the garden, helping capture the rain water in the soil. I have drought tolerant, pollinator friendly plants and water conservation is kinda my jam. Rain chains are freaking cool to look at too.

That’s a very cool way of giving the stormy water flow a natural direction and use! Awesome! 😃🤓💪🌊⚡☔
