  1. After boiling the bones, I put the bones in the oven at 170 degrees for 4 hours. I make sure they are completely cooled before I grind them.

  2. We raise our own chickens for meat. Feathers to compost, entrails to the raptors, chicken to the freezer, bones to make stock. At that point, the bones are crumbly. I strain the solids and can the stock. Solids go into the compost pile.

  3. I did that with a bunch of chick bones after making bone broth. Turned out amazing and I can’t wait to use it in the garden next year. 👍🧡 Lorie😊

  4. Great tip! I do the first 3 things but then the bones go in the trash! Now I know what to do with them. Thank you so much!

  5. There are still nutrients left after the bone broth?

I usually grind them all up and make dog treats out of them. Might have to share some in the garden.

  6. Waste not want not. I did wonder is it an organic turkey? If it's not, wondering if the turkey may have consumed pesticide/glyphosate ridden food while alive and could that then show up in the garden? the glyphosate which stay's in soil for a very long time.
