Sun flowers are big feeders so i recommend transplanting it into the ground now for your issue I belive that is just caused by undeewatering,
From my experience it can rain forever and the sunflower will never be overwatered
There reselint but they need a good amount of water

Idk how the weather is where you are. If it’s warm even at night, then it probably needs more water. If it’s getting colder than 45° at night, then it might be cold wilting. If it’s the latter, try to bring it inside for a few days & see if it perks back up.

Water it twice a day and put mulch or small stones/ gravel on the soil surface to reduce evaporation from the soil.

I’ll be amazed if that perks back up. Looks like it’s been waterless/heat stressed for too long at this point. Depending on when you bought it transplant shock could be a factor too, but sorry to be the bearer of bad news… I don’t think she’s gonna make it.

Why the wooden skewers? Some satanic sunflower ritual?

It’s a sunflower. Sunflowers have roots that grow as deep as the plant is high. It will never stay alive in that pot! It needs to be in the ground.

It’s a large variety sunflower. It’s pot bound!
DelightfulDaisy02
It’s probably thirsty and check if the soil is dry and give it a good watering.

Yes. Your soil looks like it’s in the desert.

Sunflower:
Well.. if I were being sacrificed I would be pretty droopy too. 🤭
Less lollipops, more water.
It died of the dehydration.
