The National Garden Bureau (NGB), the 105-year-old non-profit organization dedicated to fostering a love of gardening, is pleased to announce that the 2026 Green Thumb Award competition is now open for voting.

These prestigious awards, established in 1998, recognize exceptional new plant varieties and gardening products that are unique, innovative, and offer effective solutions to common gardening problems.

The horticulture industry is invited to participate in selecting the People’s Choice Awards by casting their votes directly on the NGB website. Voters can select their favorites across six vital categories:

Annuals

Perennials

Shrubs

Edibles

Houseplants

Garden Products

Winners for both the “Professional’s Choice” and the “People’s Choice” awards will be officially announced in January 2026.
