I water mine about once a month or so, and it’s doubled in height since I got it a year ago!

Mmm learn how your plant looks when watered, after watering and then water not only once the soil is dry, but once it starts wrinkling and deflating is my best advice

I will note that you have a lot of big chunks of bark in there which will stay wet and lead to increased rot. Your temperature, season, lighting, humidity and soil content all play a factor and you have to see how quickly and slowly it dries and starts to dehydrate

  4. Your plant looks great. Repot it in new potting medium that doesn’t have all that bark. Mine are in about half pumice or lava rock and half cactus potting soil. I think a full watering once a month in winter sounds right.

If the plant is outside in the summer you could definitely do every two weeks. Amaks are not big rotters. Mine live outside in Santa Cruz Ca, and survived a winter with 40-inch es of rain.
