Best garden centres in Berkshire to visit at Christmas

From Santa’s Grotto visits to looking at all those festive decorations, you can’t help but feel cosy, warm and merry.

Thankfully, Berkshire has plenty of great garden centres to browse this December, including the likes of Henry Street Garden Centre and The Gardening Club at Hare Hatch.

Henry Street Garden Centre

Location: Swallowfield Rd, Arborfield, Arborfield Cross, Reading RG2 9JY

Henry Street Garden Centre is a family-run business with over 100 years of experience behind it.

The centre offers a wide range of products at value prices and has an on-site restaurant serving a choice of meals.

For Christmas, the Henry Street Garden Centre is hosting the Christmas Light Walk, a free experience where you can see magical festive displays in the evenings from 4.30pm.

Plus, guests can visit Santa’s cafe, which will be serving hot chocolate and mulled wine until 6.15pm.

The Gardening Club at Hare Hatch

Location: London Rd, Hare Hatch, Reading RG10 9HW

The Gardening Club offers a selection of quality plants, pots, garden furniture, gifts and homeware items.

Plus, it has the Farm Shop Cafe that serves up fresh meals, including hot dishes and pastries.

Over Christmas, the garden centre is selling a range of festive decorations like wreaths and trees, as well as some festive bakes in the Farm Shop Cafe.

Oaktree Garden Centre

Location: Brockhill House, Bracknell Rd, Warfield, Bracknell RG42 6LH

Oaktree Garden Centre has all your gardening needs, with staff offering knowledgeable advice throughout the year.

During Christmas, the centre has a wide range of festive events taking place, including Santa’s Grotto, Christmas Fair, Festive Lunch, and a magical Meet and Greet.

Children are invited to the Meet and Greets throughout December, where they can meet the likes of the Snow Queen, the Snowman and a special K-Pop Superfan theme.

Longacres Garden Centre

Location: London Rd, Bagshot GU19 5JB

Longacres Garden Centre is the largest independent garden centre in the south of England and the flagship store of the six Longacres sites.

At Christmas, Longacres is offering a wide range of festive items, including artificial trees, lights, decorations and Lemax Christmas villages.
