To kick start the month-long festive fun, the team at Cardwell Garden Centre held their annual Big Christmas Weekend, inviting families to find their perfect Christmas tree and make some magical memories with little ones.
The attractions will remain in place right up to the big day.
Alongside the fairground rides and photo opportunities, youngsters can also pay a visit to Santa, who is in residence on the lead up to December 25.
The Salvation Army Band greeted Christmas shoppers with plenty of classic carols, with the Clyde Coast Fiddlers also paying some festive tunes as they collected money for the Inverclyde Foodbank.
Paul Carmichael, retail manager at Cardwell, says the weekend was a ‘fantastic’ start to the season.
He said: “The atmosphere was truly magical, and it was wonderful to see so many families and friends enjoying themselves.
“The event was a huge success across the board. Our Santa’s Grotto and the carnival were a massive hit with the children, as was meeting the ever-popular Rudolph mascot.
“The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. And, of course, many visitors found their perfect freshly cut Christmas Tree, which are now fully stocked.”
Paul added: “We want to thank everyone who came along and made the weekend so special.
“This event really sets the tone for a busy and cheerful Christmas shopping period here at Cardwell.
“We look forward to welcoming everyone back throughout December!”
