Planted this alocasia poly a week ago and it’s looking really rough. I know yellowing leaves is a sign of overwatering, but the soil feels quite dry. I’m really struggling to keep plants at the bottom of my tank alive and I fear it’s because my grow light is not adequate enough for a 36in tall enclosure. Please let me know what you think and if these plants are salvageable

Alocasias drop a leaf and grow a new leaf, so if there’s new growth i wouldn’t worry too much

Alocasias are so particular, they can’t be in too of damp soil or they’ll be unhappy, but it can’t be bone dry either. They will also throw a fit every time they’re moved somewhere too.

maybe standing water around the roots….do you drain the enclosure regulary ?

Alocasias are so beautiful, but equally so bitchy. Hopefully it’s just the leaf dropping or the plant acclimating to the vivarium
