Yes, I feel I same. I was watching your main channel for seven years before I found the highlight channel purely by accident. I felt like it was a secret that I wasnât supposed to know about. I have mentioned this many times,in the comments . I have been watching since 2016. With the small amount of viewers on the highlight channel compared to the main channel Iâm not the only one. People would appreciate to know about the highlight channel. Yes, you need to share it Laura. We are your audience! Please do!
Iâm very interested in your home renoâs too!! It may not be garden related but weâre all so vested in your property and I love when you show us cooking and decorating projects as well.
I cannot thank you enough for not having an intro or advertising. I pay extra to not have advertising and it really annoys me how advertisers have gotten content creators to put them in the middle of their videos. But, with that said, I am supportive of your store and I think it is a service and directly related to what you watchers want, so putting something at the end of a video is fine. It will signal to people that the video is over and they can continue watching or not. I would not feel trapped into watching something that I didn't want to. Thank you for being so considerate.
I too did not find GA Highlights channel until well after being a daily watcher of GA and felt disappointed I was missing out on the additional goodness. What about putting a link to Highlights in the main channel video descriptions where you list partner brands, store, mailing address and links to socials? You wouldnât catch everyone, but maybe a few more. Also, I see comments from viewers that they donât mind watching Highlights channel marketing, but they are missing your point. It is about what YOU want, not the viewers. I appreciate you standing firm to your comfort-level and values. That is teaching the world great lessons. Thank you for all you do to make the world a better place! J
Question.. I Love the videos. Been watching since the beginning of GA Couldn't your Parents offer your ornaments at Andrews. I would think they would sell out â¤â¤
I watch your channels BECAUSE you don't sell anything. I have YouTube premium due to hating commercials, so to have to watch a channel sponsor bit is frustrating. Keep it real guys. Thanks for everything that you do!
I agree with Laura Balsam Hill are not worth the money. They are beautiful but the lights only last no more than two years. There are so many other trees out there that are beautiful and you actually get your moneys worth.
I love the two ornaments I purchased. Hartley and Garden Answer tree. I really liked the flowers and I may buy them laterâŚif they are around. White gold is something I would like to see to determine if I would want to purchase themâŚjust not sure. Yâall are GREAT in everything you doâŚgardening, parenting, caring, your ideas, antiquing, fun, loving (animals and family). I canât praise you enough. THANKS FOR YOUR HARD WORK AND GIVING US THESE GREAT VIDEOS! â¤ď¸đđđđđđťđđđđˇđ¸đŞťđ˛
I absolutely do NOT want you to disclose the cost of ANYTHING you do. If there is something you have done that strikes a glimmer of desire for me to incorporate into my home or garden, I research. Gather local costs. While curiosity kills the cat for some who want information, a little self research scratches the itch.
I get where youâre coming from, Laura, but look at it as if educational and not sales. The info you provide on this channelâ by answering questionsâand a 99% of the items you sell in your shop â are things to help people in their garden. Itâs all in how you choose to present it! Hereâs another thought Cas @clutterbug says at the end of her videos, âThank you to those that have stayed to the endâ and gives a funny little story. You could do something similar and provide examples of what you have in the shop, it wouldnât seem fake or pushy. â¤
SoâŚpromoting GA Hightlights on main channel, sorry Laura â¤, but I agree with Aaron on this. Think of it this way⌠youâre not necessarily promoting you, youâre providing alternative information for your viewers which benefits THEIR growth. We do learn additional info about GA via the highlights channel. Why wouldnât you want to make sure others had a chance to benefit from it, too? Becky âĽď¸
Your highlights channel is the highlight of my week! I can't miss it. I've often thought you could provide a link on the Garden Answer video to this channel and vice versa. I don't see anything bad about you mentioning it occasionally in your regular videos!
I understand the reluctance to be like a wares hawker on your channel. However, at the end of the day you are providing for your family through the YouTube Channel. A tastefully done heads up , âThis is what we have going on in our e-commerce â wouldnât be jarring our obnoxious. You could always take a moment to pop in a little suggestion to take a look at some new products or events, like a sale, for us to take advantage of in your e-commerce store. Then itâs the viewerâs choice to go look, you havenât made the decision for them. Just a different perspective here. Youâve created a wonderful world on your channel and I wish you continued success in all your endeavors. Happy Holidays from central Texas in the Hillcountry. â¤đ§âđđ
Aaron, I just watched a video about the vagaries of Christmas lights. Have you ever heard of Viđntaglo or Sylvania traditional glow ? If I knew how I'd send a link but if you are interested check out the video under Technology Connections.
AGREE – with mentioning the Highlights channel! I think the name implies it's highlights, and it's not. I think people need to know that you answer questions on this channel, it's not highlights from videos. I've wondered as well why it's not mentioned occasionally so people know. It's so fun to listen to you and Aaron talk through things. Valuable info!
Your lovely chickens will be fine when their freedom ends…you share lots of greens and scraps with them and that is plenty. And the worms! My chickens only dream of those treats! We sell eggs so we have quite a few more girls and they free range every day, even in the muddy rainy times, but nothing around them that is pretty like your gardens. BTW, when it comes to patio poops, the winners are ducks and geese! Yuck!
Horse Barn area suggestion: Just something I thought about. The âlowest pointâ of the pasture; â I think itâd be so cool to have a pond to capture water. In addition itâd be a water source for you horses. A good place to seize opportunity is using what you naturally have, without fighting nature. The lowest point of any geography is where water will collect. Even if you raised your soil, underneath it is still the lowest part. The lowest point in your pasture is where water will flow. Itâs always nice to have a higher place, especially for large and heavy animals. As you well know, high acidic soil has terrible drainage. So, a pond; with maybe a few shade trees could alleviate future problems. IMO It could be so helpful to have one of your water source there for your horses? Not only a water source, but even a place for water to flow to. My poor brother bought property and built a horse barn unknowingly at the lowest point on his land, and the whole pasture there was soggy and his horses were ankle deep in the rainy months because of there weight, it was so awful.
Not that you would ever have a problem with standing water, but foresight or a plan if ever you did have a water flow problem.
For your laundry, instead of moving your laundry, think about installing all in one washers upstairs, just need water but no need for venting. That way you could put one in your master area and one in kids area. They wash then dry, no moving the laundry between wash and dry, one and done, they are fantastic!
? curious: along your lane – is there an electric outlet at each tree – like they do in the cities? Close to the tree? or moved out for when the tree grows? Or are they connected by outside cords? everything is beautiful!! Grateful for all of you and what you all do!
Hey GA team! I look forward to both your "regular" videos and these on the Highlights channel đ I have a couple of suggestions about mentioning your Highlights channel. I'm so grateful I found it! 1st – low-tech – add a pinned comment (I think it stays at the top) "Hey Guys! Our Garden Answer Highlights channel (link) will answer and discuss some questions from our videos this week as well as updates on our store (link)." 2nd – more effort – Laura or Aaron comes on a little reel "Hey Guys, how's it goin'? If you haven't heard, we have the Garden Answer Highlights channel (link in description) where we answer and discuss some questions from our videos as well as discussing sales and updates at our Garden Answer store. If you're looking for more Garden Answer content, we hope to see you there! See ya next time."
Laura stated a long time ago that there would be no advertising on the main channel. I stay here because of that, it is such a pleasure watching without commercials. I would encourage you to share the second channel on the main channel but PLEASE no commercials.
Not trying to harp on that drop cord situation but as a retired medic I have responded to my share of home fires because of them. Even inside Blessings for your family.
Hi Laura. Question. If you cut the blooms of hydrangeas with a long stem, will it forfeit the blooms for next year? Because I would like to do what you did and paint for decorations. Love your show.
this is just my thoughts – but what ever you do will be great. I am not good at pushed things – I wonder if you can add things to your link information under neath not in the video. I see that in cooking videos. or once in a while.
I let my youngest 2 granddaughters drive our golf cart this year. The 8 yr old is SUPER cautious. Iâll let her drive on her own. The 7yr old though? Uh uh, nope! All she wants to do is ZOOMIES! Lol. She HAS to have an adult with her. đ
Put up a edible little tree for the girls. I love watching your chickens so much. Everything looks so good for Christmas! I love Aaron tree so beautiful and magical.

Talking about Samantha being such a fast, coordinated and tough little girl, sounds like rugby would be a good fit. For when she's older of course.
Your chi chat warms day! It makes smileâ¤đâ¤
TruTone lights are the best. There is nothing that compares. I splurged on them this year too. They were so worth it!

One of the other channels that I follow has a 2nd channel & she just puts it in writing across the screen towards the end of her videos.
Reviewing some of the past projects would be nice to see. The church, the neighbors pond, your friends with the big berm
Definitely need an announcements portion. Think of it like a deacon making Sunday morning announcements. lol.
$65 for lights? Thatâs crazy. No way could I afford that. But, if you can⌠go for it.
I think it would be find to mention your other channel and the store.

Don't forget you guys can always have a sale on the ornaments that did not sell well to clear out your inventory.
Aaron and Laura playing a musical interlude could be the Garden Answer Christmas Miracle!!!
I have spray painter hydrangea that Iâve had for 9 years and they still look beautiful.
Our prices for plants in NJ are way more than the occasional price tag I see from your parentâs garden center!,
fensmile B0BYHYT6P4. Are some fence posts for your lighting.
