Anyone else missing summer in the northern hemisphere and their VFTs looking insane during peak season?

Every year around early January I do my little annual check-in on all my plants to get them tuned up for spring, but wow… nothing quite scratches the itch like remembering how ridiculously good the flytraps looked a few months back.

I’ll drop a pic of them in their full summer glory in the comments.

This is all I want in life. Unfortunately I’m trapped in an apartment with no yard for now.

Have you tried experimenting with growing some indoors with artificial lighting blasting them 365 days a year?

YES I MISS IT! I got the majority of my newest outdoor plants in September, only enough to allow them to settle in and I can’t watch them grow until spring.

My vfts look best in autumn. They’re still kinda scrawny and pink during summer solstice. But big and deep red during late september.

  5. I know this is Savage garden but I’m always amazed at the moss in a lot of these posts
