For those wondering his name is “Calais” and yes he’s very low on soil. I’ve considered doing what I call exiling to the shelf in the kitchen where dead and misfit plants go. But I just can’t bring myself to do it to this one. I do plan on buying a full version of this plant soon though.

This is an adorable baby. It has a lot of potential. I started with a small Dottie in a 3” pot and it’s growing quickly (even flowered). I love starting with small plants.
For baby calatheas I’ve found that they like to be on the more dry-side more than older plants and are more easily “overwatered”.
