RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) – The Rapid City Garden Club celebrated its 78th year of selling wreaths and greens at the Creative Arts Building at the Central State Fairgrounds Saturday.
All the wreaths are handmade using real leaves sourced from the hills and various areas around Rapid City.
Two ways they make these wreaths are with coat hangers and with a frame on a machine.
The money the club makes from these sales goes back to projects in Rapid City.
The community is very supportive when it comes to this sale. People start lining up at the door before it opens.
Members of the Garden Club said, “People come year after year, and they really do load up, and I think a community project, they appreciate it.”
If you were unable to make it this year, mark your calendars for next year. The event takes place in early December.
