Hello people! I found this alocasia as pink variegata, but do you think there is a possibility that it is a sport variegation even though one of the half leaves is so beautiful? 🥹

  1. “Sport” variegation implies that the plant came from a non-variegated mother plant and was a genuine randoms mutation. If the plant was sold to you as a pink variegated plant, it almost for sure came from a variegated mother plant and would therefore not be a random mutation but a genetic inheritance. So no, I don’t think it’s possible it’s sport variegated, but it doesn’t mean it can’t revert.
