Gorgeous Brassavola nodosa grown inside a pool cage for 8 years in Florida( not mine) .
She had it mounted on cork. It outgrew the cork so the cork was mounted on a big piece of tree fern and then set in a wire basket mounted on the wall. What a beautiful specimen.
Jealous of Fl climate for warm growing orchids, but as a human not so much lol. Must be so fragrant at night walking outside.

I’m so thrilled to see this, since I have a baby one that is still too young to bloom! Thanks for sharing!

Stunning! Great to see a big older one. By coincidence I received my first one today in the mail and I dont know what to do with it.

Ask them to take off a few nodes and tie them up in local trees, out of direct sun of course.
The Fairchild project is trying to re-orchid Florida and this one is on their list of natives they want to spread.
Oh wow! My small cutting smells so good from 5 feet away with just three flowers. I can only imagine the amazing scent around it when it’s in full bloom!
