Residents at Wilton Place Care Home in Wilton decided they would like to get into the Christmas spirit by visiting their local garden centre.
With support from activities team members Nicola and Shauna, residents explored the store, enjoying the baubles, twinkling lights, and Christmas trees on display.
Antoinette, general manager at Wilton Place, said: “We absolutely love being able to take our residents out and about to explore local shops, it makes us all so happy to be able to experience Christmas together, we truly are one big happy family at Wilton Place.”
During the trip, residents filled their trolley with cards and gifts for their loved ones and ended their trip with a pot of tea in the café.
They reminisced over previous Christmases, and it was a truly magical afternoon.
Jean, a resident at Wilton Place, said: “We have had the most wonderful afternoon, it was a lovely atmosphere and it has made us feel so Christmassy.”
