Okay maybe overboard with the pictures đ but I was watering my air plants this morning and I thought I would share a few of my favorites.
A few weeks ago I made a comment about my funkiana and how she is really small but producing a lot of pups, to the one person who wanted to see her she is in this thread with a couple pups (picture 6)! And her first pup which is growing so well (picture 5).
I do have a question about two of these if anyone has an answer. First, photo 3 and 4 is my second airplane that I kept alive and she is thriving! Does anyone know what species she is? I am stupted, she looks like a lot of them lol.
And my second question is, what is the best way to care for T. tectorum? (Picture 8) I just don't think mine is thriving too well. I only mist her, I don't soak.
Thank you for this space to share. I really love them, and as a person who usually kills plants I am so happy to have connected with them enough to care for them â¤ď¸ also I love seeing all of yours!!

They are all gorgeous! What is the last one? Is it a Butzii cross? Unfortunately I do not know what species pic 3/4 but itâs beautiful too!
Your tectorum requires A LOT of sunlight and requires less moisture than the others. And if you are in an area that has reduced sunlight and temps you are safe with a direct south window with all of your Tillandsiaâs.
The last one(pic 9) needs more water/moisture as itâs leaves are smooth and shiny. Itâs thrichomes arenât as pronounced as most, so more frequent mistings(I would not soak this one at all imo).
