Had to go up now that the clouds cleared up. Make a little wattage before dark.

That sagging porch suggests you’re about to have worse problems than clearing off some solar panels

I keep considering how to clean ours off. Or if adding heat tape to them or similar would be worth it. They’re up on a barn roof and mostly inaccessible…

Hmm…cover with a tarp or panel when it starts snowing that you can pull off with an attached rope from the ground in the morning? Then you just have to reset when it starts snowing again. Just spitballin here

I clean the snow off my solar array using a 28′ telescoping pole with a wide soft brush attachment.  I bought both the pole and the attachment in the window-cleaning section at Home Depot, and the brush is made of soft cloth (like a dustmop) rather than bristles.

You are lucky you can clean up your panels and your batteries will take charge.

Try having the panels covered in snow AND Lithium batteries at 25F at the same time.

Cleaning up panels would be the easiest of my problems…

There are purpose made extending poles with a stiff foam blade that work great. My panels are ground mounted to avoid the roof/ladder fiasco. At 76, I have no intention of ever getting on a roof again, ha!
