Hi! I need help! I moved a few weeks ago, and now my pothos is dying. There are many yellow leaves, and the beginning of the strands don't really have any leaves left. Is there a possibility of saving her? The new place is darker than before, so I was thinking that that's the reason for the yellow leaves. But what can I do with the strands? Should I cut them and try to get the strands with the remaining green leaves to form roots? I'm just really nervous, I don't want her to die completely, and the middle and end parts of the strands look quite ok. I also heard that you can bury the empty strands? I'm really grateful for any kind of help and tips!

    Chop’n prop

  2. In my experience, gravity always pulls water down and the plant isn’t strong enough to pull water up, so you should have your pot above the strands. If not, they will slowly die and you’ll probably not see any growth on the strands ends in the mean time.

  3. If the strands (and nodes) are full of life themselves you could rotate them in the pot on the soil and pin them, so they can grow new roots within the pot, if that makes sense.
Otherwise you could chop them up and make new little pothos, keeping the strands and just rotate them into the pot too. I did this a few months ago and both the new plants are growing and the ‘bald’ strands are now growing leafs & new strands too!

Hopefully this helps a little! I’m just speaking from my own experience here, as I have had this too with mine

I think the first thing you need to do is figure out the light problem. It looks pretty dark down there where you have him. Pothos can handle slightly low light conditions, but they do need light to live. Anyway you can move this guy closer to a window?
