Can I keep this as a ‘caudex’ plant

I know it doesn't look, but this is actually a radish! 🤣 Grew radishes for the first time and all of them bolted because it was too hot. I threw them out and fed them to my ducks.
This one, however, never flowered! Its lost its color and turned a bit woody. Its wayyy past harvest date so its completely inedible. I was thinking of actually adding this to my caudex collection. I know radishes probably don't have the genetics for long time survival but I think if I keep cutting off the flower stock when it wants too flower, it'll conserve its energy and prolong its life. What do you guys think? 😅
