It's first time my husband spotted this animal in our backyard. I suspect it's Mink.

We live in 6b zone, Massachusetts.

Looks like a fisher to me. The long snout and big tail.

Edit: Plus that would be a pretty dang big mink, but fairly average for a fisher.

beautiful sight! Is your backyard part of a forest?

Dayum I’m jealous. All I get are the local stray toms in my backyard.

Put a ball or some toy out there and watch it play with it. They love to play

Definitely a fisher. Mink are pretty small, have a shorter tail (but not as short or small as a weasel).

Wow that is so amazing. Never seen one of those before. A reward for rewilding.

If you hear horrifying screams in the night, it is probably a fisher

Chicken serial killer that one there (Fischer)

  9. Fisher! Because porcupines were decimating forests they reintroduced fishers, their main predator…can you imagine how bad ass they must be?

I had one of these guys in my yard last winter! Captured by one of the cameras. I was shocked since I live in a suburban area. I also saw a weasel in person recently. Had to do a double-take. Cute little guy
