Is distilled water safe to add to a freshwater tank?
I’m working on combining these two jars taken from similar places, but I don’t have enough rainwater to keep the water level high enough in the new tank. I know tap water is harmful, but am I right in assuming distilled water is safe?
Distilled water is void of everything. If it was used alone, it would kill stuff but if added to top off a bit it’s fine since there’s already established bacteria etc present.
