My Nepenthes is getting tall and I want to keep it healthy.
The plant is about four years old and has always been grown on a windowsill. Growth has been good, but the vine is getting long and I’m not sure how to manage the next stage. I’m also trying to figure out how to secure it to support stakes without the whole thing becoming wobbly.
I use normal tap water (I live in Germany, so it’s not too bad). It stays in my living room, and I water it every two days in summer and every four days in winter. I was thinking about buying dead flies or something similar to feed it, but I’m not sure where to get them. Is it true that you should only feed one fly per pitcher so it doesn’t rot, or should I just let the plant feed itself naturally? Also should i cut off the rotting Pitchers and leaves or let them be? (This year it grew like 50-60cm)
