The grotto was officially opened on Saturday, November 29 by Wokingham Borough Mayor, Councillor Carol Jewell.
Santa was escorted by the Thames Valley UK Chapter of Harley-Davidson owners, who helped set the festive scene alongside the Time to Sing Community Choir, who performed Christmas carols.
Greg Hutler, centre manager at Winnersh Garden Centre, said: “We’re so excited to welcome Santa to Winnersh Garden Centre in such spectacular style.
“Last year, over 1,000 children with their families attended, and we raised in excess of £2,000 for the Rotary Club, who support us in making this magical event happen.
“It’s a wonderful way to start the festive season and create lasting memories for families, and we thank the Rotary Club members and Thames Valley UK Chapter riders for their commitment in bringing this grotto to the local area.”
The grotto will be open on December 6, 7, 13, and 14.
Late-night visits with Santa are also available on Thursdays, December 4 and 11, until 7pm.
Quiet Grotto sessions for SEND families will take place on Wednesdays, December 3, 10, and 17 from 1.30-4.30pm.
These sessions must be booked in advance, either in-store, by calling 01183 044445, or via email at winnersh@britishgardencentres.com.
All proceeds from the grotto will go to the Reading Rotary Club Maiden Erleigh.
