Didn't think this plant bloomed for years after germination. A lot of playing around with lighting, nutrients, substrates and here we are. I have 14 other healthy plants and 5 that have been recovering from the failed ideas. I am letting these built up as much of a tuber as possible and forcing into dormancy Jan 1. I will be planting them this April in a wooded place on property I own.

You’re amazing!! This is a dwindling species that hasn’t been seen in my country since 1859. I hear they’re difficult to get pollinated and prone to disease. Much luck!!

    What’s your substrate?

  2. Gee whiz😍! Not only are the flowers beautiful but the leaves are attractive as well

It is an absolute stunner of a plant. Raise awareness about this plant to get it into cultivation so it can rebound.

Nice accomplishment. I covet your plants. I am going to try my hand at those this year, along with A. purpurascens. Challenge accepted. You aced that challenge, congrats!

Yeah, redring milkweed is an absolute banger. Good job.

Really pleased we still have this one growing wild because it would be a pain to try and reintroduce.

Wow. I never heard of it. It’s cool that it likes dappled light. Ill have to see if it’s native to us.
