I found something I’ve never seen before: A sidewalk completely buried under a foot of dirt. I guess there’s a community of folks that have soil delivered to this empty plot of land. Well that soil has spilled over, covering the sidewalk completely over 5-10 years. A neighbor stopped by, not realizing what sidewalk I was even talking about cleaning up. She later came with her grandkids and was shocked at how good it looked. She didn’t even realize there was a sidewalk there until I dug it out with my shovel. This was one of the toughest ones I’ve done. A back-breaking type of cleanup. Glad I could help out this neighborhood.

You probably won’t believe this, but there is an actual sidewalk that runs along right here, right through this mound of dirt. As you can see, it’s pretty tall. I’m not sure why they are dumping compost on this empty plot of land, but as you can see, over time, they’ve dumped enough to cover the sidewalk. And if we step back into the sunlight, you can see the concrete right there. And there’s where it ends. What we’re going to do today is find the edge of both the left and right side and expose some of this nice concrete to make the sidewalk at least usable. This stuff is no joke. I started digging into it just to see if I could find the concrete. There it is. It’s there. That’s about yay deep. This end’s covered in leaves. We’re going to clean up. And here’s the view from the other side, covered in leaves, debris. My main objective today is to get the sidewalk restored and cleaned up. As far as the rest goes, I’m not too sure who even owns this plot of land. I know they use it to dump soil and and compost and looks like maybe even some bark over there. We’ll try to do what we can to get at least the sidewalk cleaned up and maybe some of the property, maybe this island right here. We’ll see how far we get. Hope you stay tuned to the end for the amazing before and after pictures. Well, that building Oh, no, I’m not. No. Why? Oh, because we have that dirt is our community garden. It is. Taking any of it, are you? No, no, no, no. So, I just noticed the sidewalk. The some of the dirt was on the sidewalk. What sidewalk? No, like the sidewalk right here that runs along the street. I just figured I’d clean it up so that way people could actually use it safely. Well, they don’t even walk there cuz no one’s been there for like 5 years. I was just going to clean up the sidewalk, move a little bit of that dirt back, and uh so that way if if anybody wants to use the sidewalk, it’ll be a lot easier for them. I don’t think they want to, but you know, that’s probably nice. That’s what I do. I love doing that. I love doing the, you know, sidewalk transformations, making them look pretty. All right. Hey, take care. All right. Let’s begin working. [Music] Let’s go. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] [Applause] Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. All right, there’s a quick update. You see the darker spots? That is where the sidewalk was covered. And then the light spots is where it was actually showing. Check that out. Found the edge here. Found the edge there. But I can tell you right now, it’s not going to be perfect because in the super thick parts right here, it’s really hard to find the edge. You got to go far back, back, back until you hit it. So, it’s not going to be perfectly straight. That’s kind of what I’m trying to say. But hey, at least we got Look how much extra sidewalk we got. And I can actually ride my zeroturn mower through here. So, this is going to be the most challenging part right now. We’re going to take all of this soil cuz essentially it’s just soil and compost and all that. And what we’re going to do is we’re going to scoop it all the way to the right cuz that’s where it belongs. All that right there is basically all up in here. So, I can already tell. Look at the soil here. That’s what that is. [Music] What? My shovel is so close to breaking. It’s like the first shovel I ever bought for my lawn care business before I was doing videos. And it’s, look at it. It’s bent. Look at that wear. Sooner or later, this thing is going to break. But I’m going to wait until it breaks to replace it. uh Look at this. Crazy how there’s even a sidewalk here to rest on this mound of dirt. What’s up? Ah. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Yeah, subjective. Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat up here. Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. Ready? So, I literally just pulled a wallet out of here. I don’t know whose it is. Let’s see if there’s anything inside here. Nope. Looks like somebody’s old wallet full of ants. Straight to the trash. Sorry, ants. [Music] [Music] [Music] How you doing? side. Yeah. Come check it out. What a good job. That’s amazing. How do you do that? I’ve done plenty of these. I kind of know how to tackle them. There’s a process, but eventually you’re getting it down. And that’s amazing. You see where like the darker part is? That’s where it was all covered. And then the lighter part like right here. Yeah. That’s where it was uncovered. So, yeah. Well, it’s been it might literally might have been 10 years actually. 10 years. I’ve lived here 20 years. Wow. And I haven’t I don’t have any memory of any house being here. [Music] Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. A heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat up here. Well, I’m down here, guys. I hope you appreciated that one and uh enjoy the makeover. This is about all I’m going to do for now on this lot. First of all, it’s empty. Second of all, it’s still April and the grass is growing slowly but surely. So, it makes no sense to mow it right now because in May and June, it’s going to boom. So, I’m going to return and finish this lot on another uh video. I’m going to re-edge the sidewalk. I’m going to edge the side of the road and clean that up. We’re going to take care of some of the limbs and move them. Cut down some of the lowhanging uh branches that are snapped off and just kind of tidy up this lot. But that’s about it for this video. I hope you enjoyed it and let me know how it looks. I mean, we were we could probably bury ourselves with all the amount of dirt that I removed. This pile here and that pile back there was just about everything we removed and we made it safer for the community. And uh it was funny that lady that showed up um she was like, “This is unbelievable.” And she had her grandkids, I believe, uh race up and down this sidewalk. It was so cool to see that. But it’s cool to see it in use right away. And I think it cleaned up really well. I’m surprised it turned out this good looking. I thought it was going to I thought we weren’t going to get the edges real straight on the other side there, but I know we didn’t get it straight on this side because we had to freehand or free ed free edge freehand freehand edge everything with the shovel because our blade it can only get like I don’t know 3 or 4 in before it bottoms out. So yeah, I’m exhausted. I’m going to pack up. Hope you guys enjoyed it. And if you did, smash the like button, comment down below, let me know of your presence. Take care. God bless you. I’ll see you in the next one. And enjoy these before and after pictures. [Music] [Applause] Heat. Heat. [Music]

  1. Will be better tossing all that dirt to the other side not to close to grass close to the road

  2. That's a workout today, Spencer. It does look like good black dirt. Your muscles will be hurting tonight. Hope it's not too hot out today? As always, great job, Spencer!

  3. For all you interfering busy bodies out there talking bout “community”, I guess YOUR community doesn’t have people in wheel chairs? Mothers pushing strollers following their little ones on their trikes? Limited mobility types that need canes to walk but sure do enjoy getting out in the fresh air…why don’t you get your fat lazy azziz out and do something for your “community” or keep your opinions to yourself. God bless people like this guy who is ACTUALLY contributing to YOUR community.😉

  4. "community garden" by big fat ass.
How about "Place where me and my cheap friends dump the crap they don't want cluttering up our yards"

  5. Damn laziness of those people, it community abuse of someone's property to dump and block public sidewalk
Thank you for serving the community in it's truest form

  6. What an amazing and inspiring job, Fill's Lawn Care! 🤩

It's hard to believe that a walkway was buried under so much dirt, but thanks to your passion and determination, the whole community is safe and clean again [37:18]! The Before & After pictures are so impressive, proving the power of good work and hard work. I absolutely love your attitude despite everyone's initial doubts [01:36]. Thank you for this positive contribution! 👏

  7. Dude, I would've gotten me a bobcat. Next time, dude, I help you. I love doing neighborhood improvements and labor

  8. I see all these videos of people from the HOA threatening people with large fines to clean up their properties! Looks like it's the landowners responsibility to keep it clean. Looks like a public sidewalk to me. Why hasn't the city issued a notice to clean it up? If it's a public sidewalk why hasn't the city cleaned it up???

  9. And ,to think that the next time we see you return to do more work on this, an older couple are there ,filling up pails of that good soil to take home ..😂.. and this lady is all worried that you might be taking some😂. Aren't people strange😊

  10. She says nobody uses that… from a person with disabilities (wheelchairs) cant use the side walks. For years I couldnt go around out loop… all the sidewalks had so many cracks & lifting on the sidewalk. Guess what… they fixed this year. It's so nice to have the wind blow through hair. Thank you for everything you do. Some people say "no one walks there"… that is someone disabled cant go outside

  11. Have to agree. If there is more than 3 inches of dirt over it, its not really a sidewalk anymore.

  12. Back in 80’s I had a job burying cable. Digging dirt all day wasn’t fun and convinced me to join military

  13. Humans are weird. Some guy just cleaning up a sidewalk for "free" because a million people will watch him do it on youtube.
