Philodendron brown spots on leaves

Hello and help. I bought this philodendron recently at the plant market and I placed it by my window. It receives indirect light (not glaring bright light) and I only watered it once when the top soil was dry. Why are there browns pots on the light green half of the leaves, but not the darker green? What am I doing wrong? Insights appreciated. Thank you.
