Grace Rabano, Clermont Garden Club

The Clermont Garden Club’s Yard of the Month for December 2025 is at 1015 Montrose St., Clermont. Ms. Robin Perez moved into the house 8 years ago, and has been transforming the yard since then with a variety of plants and flowers. There are tall, healthy plumerias (Frangipani) along the front and side of the house that flower in all different colors. Robin has planted various bromeliads, peace lily, snake plants (Dracaena), succulents (including kalanchoe), and crown-of-thorns (Euphorbia milii).

But what is most striking about the front yard is the color combination of yellow and purple from the flowering clusters of yellow ixora bushes against purple heart plants (Tradescantia pallida). It’s such a cheerful site to see as you head down Montrose Street towards historic downtown Clermont. Robin Perez’s yard is the Clermont Garden Club’s Yard of The Month!
