Had a nice burn barrel fire today in a snow storm while getting rid of a bunch of scraps from the barn renovations. I definitely had a few more than 3 of those pops but it was a good time for sure.

Burning wood smells exponentially better on days where it’s overcast, blustery, cold enough to see your breath, but not cold enough to sleet or snow.
It’s a bright spot of sorts amidst an otherwise miserable fuckin’ day.
I’m a fan of this combo with hot buttered rum, hot chocolate and peppermint schnapps, hot eggnog and brandy, or a 14%+ English barleywine.
