we didn’t plan for this but since buying our new home and leaving the UK to live in Bulgaria time is running out and we are fast approaching winter our gut instincts tells us that we need to just focus on keeping warm but the house is still not ready for winter join us on YouTube fresh start sticks new country new land and today the work really begins today we have a someone come in to give us a quote on um the changes that we’re gonna be making in the kitchen area and the bathroom so at the moment they’re just having a quick look at a the kitchen and uh this area here where we’re gonna be changing into because somebody want to finish one example this is the ceiling finish here or somebody like to save money from the time yeah because some is finish like the this the okay the no I don’t no no I don’t like that not the top no the the last one the last one I like the last one the yeah the first one um yeah but I see I like that see the shower is towel yes you got nice space there white is good and then you then behind the sink maybe towel yeah cause we’re gonna put cupboards up yeah we’re gonna put cupboards up maybe between yeah and that looks nice I’ll be robbing all the house yeah that’s too much cold yeah you okay I wonder that’s yeah it’s it’s nice you can change the colour of the paints hmm exactly one more thing one more put you got this girl up to you yeah no more bug and maybe behind so behind the sink and the toilet we just go all the way you know what I mean yeah so it’s wipeable because when it’s coming eggs that splash yeah yeah yeah the shower definitely shower same same I think same same size shower shower there’s shower maybe 2 meters yeah the water’s down the water’s below anyway the water’s below and that’s quite high that that is quite high up there yeah so yeah I think for example if this is the shower maybe finish the walls yeah yeah and then we can paint we can paint the paint what colour you want it yes white or and change it yeah and feature wall it yeah if it’s all tiles you can’t just one no yeah I don’t like towels also also you can sell save money for the towels that’s expensive I know that that that yeah about 2 meters I can get it Captain Scott yeah and then you bigger space exactly you can work a bigger space maybe here you can just go this way that way and bigger bathroom area I don’t know exactly I don’t know but you you have another wall here or not stop in the this if you if you have another wall twins in the like this stop if you off this maybe drop down everything upstairs yes you need to check oh that you have no I don’t think so no no maybe different one no chimney there this wall there ah okay this is there’s no wall here no this separate that if you separate okay I’ve got said open you can look yes no wall okay maybe better off this that because no points is exactly this small all way dark light very small for that coming like this that that that or maybe open up with pillar open up this side almost outside this pillar to come in so just a bit bigger yeah just this nice pillar and then open and then maybe I don’t know but it’d be good to bit off that more bigger and it’s better for kitchen now the kitchen be better plan exactly it’s a big kitchen it’s a good size kitchen uh huh yes I think that out before you go have a look just have a open up you can see yes just let me know if you they’ve come over and assess the area that needs to be um quoted up and um and then now we’re just waiting so like I was saying yesterday obviously we don’t do cementing uh we don’t really do roofs and uh we did spring a leak in one of the back rooms so what we’ve had to do is call someone in to uh look at those jobs cause those are more like master specialist jobs they call them masters because uh they are good at their trade so um so yeah that’s something that we don’t wanna really take part in so the ceiling the ridges as we said before uh those need to be um re just resemented and put into place um and then of course as we were saying the uh bathroom so we wanna relocate the bathroom from where it is to uh that smaller dungeonish room ha ha maybe put a window in there as well um level the floor that’s very important first and foremost we’ve got to level the floor from the kitchen to that dungeonish room um and then we can start the aesthetics so we can start putting some kitchen units in and cupboards and get a cooker ah it’s been it’s been a journey let’s put it that way but it’s been it’s been interesting you know can’t complain you can see the chimney is blowing like a trooper we got the fire on it is very nice today it’s actually a really nice day the sun’s up maybe you can’t really see it’cause it’s so bright but the sun is up and um it’s a nice day it’s a nice warm day uh so um we’re just gonna get the table out for Marie’s room because we’ve until the listen the thing is what we’re trying to do is we don’t want to do things twice we want to take it slowly really think and plan what we’re doing rather than going quick spend a load of money doing things the wrong way and then having found that we’ve done it the wrong way have to redo it again and spend a whole load of money redoing what we’ve done the first time do you know what I mean so um I hope that makes sense it’s just we don’t wanna rush in and go and do things crazily and start spending money unnecessarily so at the moment Mari’s room hasn’t got a computer desk and we have bought his computer over so we have found an old table that we have in the house so we’re gonna get that out repurpose it sand it down and um uh just give it a paint a bit of a white paint and put it in the room just so he’s not on the floor using his computer because my he just no matter what he’s using this computer and at the moment he’s literally laying on the floor and that just cannot happen right so let me show you guys up in the roof where they just had a look and they said it’s all good but unfortunately there are some tiles up missing so we do need to get that redone have a look so stand this part you can go to the other side no I can’t see you can see yourself look oh OK I can’t see them ah oh is that your head shush OK yeah wow have you got a torch that torch please so you can see along here there are some holes uh where the ridges have uh moved let me just grab a torch ooh sorry sorry again uh I want it on that one yeah wow ooh there you go wow so this has got to be sorted out but yes OK there’s a little step there’s a little stair going over there and I think that goes to the other side of the house it’s like boxes of stuff up here we didn’t realize it’s up here so we’re gonna have to go up there and have a look go up there and have a look yeah oh it’s box today yeah there’s a few boxes and there’s a over the other side yeah you see that step thing yep oh there’s no stuff up here yeah well lampshades is it was it yours I don’t even know but there are all this stuff up there we might go oh Ross a big hole up there yeah ah needs to sort it big gap over I think that is that window glass don’t know don’t want that because yeah that’s always there yeah wow can’t wait to go there oh you say you can’t walk up there then yeah so it is quite solid up there I don’t think that thing’s gonna work in there too well what thing I have to wait till they see it up there what thing I haven’t got hay up here which is good so yeah so it is quite solid up there um as you can see the roof has got some holes that we need to replace we’ve got a chest up there yeah I know so when they got there I’ve got when the guys got to the roof I got there with them right because I don’t I didn’t I follow them yeah and and see obviously they’ll tell me where to step but wow it’s actually good condition up here yeah it is very good condition it’s in very very good condition clean smells good the woods are all good there’s no rotten woods or beams no just a few gaps a quite a lot of gaps yeah so yeah definitely done oh those drums there’s boxes stuff wrapped in bags that’s just this side I know that step is another side gold oops sorry sorry sorry so let me have it right this is my view of it no it’s fine it’s fine it’s quite like I think guys where you can see a white light that’s the gap for the roof um tiles what needs ceiling like Lindsay said and then we’ve got some box up here so is it treasure or is it deja I don’t know deja means the chimney looks good and then yeah first time I’ve looked up here guys I’m using a camera so I can look in the video again and see what you see yeah brilliant got cobwebs in my hair well I’m impressed right guys so yep so me and Lynn’s first look into the loft I’ve not looked in there before I thought there’d be snakes and all kinds of stuff living there but obviously it’s not let me shut this back and um um yeah that’s cool right so um have a quick walk outside yep it’s been a mess I’ve got some wood stock there I’m just um clearing up and the grounds are a bit messy at the moment because I’ve been cutting wood everywhere and I’ve also been trying to tidy up some weeds and um yep we have a well as you’ve seen probably last video I’m gonna get a cut out today I feel like I’m gonna cut your mood today so I’m gonna get the cutter and cut all this grass down because in the spring it’s gonna be double double the height and I’d rather do it now while it’s lovely and it’s not too stressful than last minute I’ve got to run around like a idiot trying to keep this grass low and but it’s all well there a lovely well we’re gonna make that nice gonna fix all this damage here make it all nice again and probably gonna get rid of this wall here don’t need that put something else there and then we’ve got a sink here which works it all works we wash a Roman dog in there sometimes and and obviously in the summit will be used for preparing and washing vegetables hands all that kind of stuff the kids neighbours anyone who comes around gets washed in there yeah alright so um and then I’m gonna start at some point the aim is to take this chicken coop down I probably have to get some temporary fencing to fence this off and when that’s down um again I’m gonna gain quite a lot of wood doing that and then obviously take this down as well and so what I need to do is go and buy some fencing before I do that and then we can take it down and then we can fence it all off so that’s the next big job so you can enjoy me enjoy me that’ll sound right you can watch me do the work right anyway see you in a bit guys I’m gonna get start cleaning this mess up oh dear right right guys so I’ve got a small task today and I’ve got to get that table out because in the corner because Maury is working um and then um homeschool and all that kind of stuff and also is little project so I’ve got move this stuff up I’ve got move this stuff up put in there from the trailer because we didn’t have no to put it and as you seen from video our trailer broke we had to get it in out the way so let’s try to move this stuff somewhere I’ll take it out here for a minute I don’t want to put it on the floor but maybe that can go on the floor put them on the floor biscuit gone there I’ll get the other one and then this box gosh I don’t know what’s in some of this stuff I do but I don’t that makes sense got we’ll get a proper computer desk so this is just like a temporary thing it’s quite heavy something on it yep something on it see a couple of dead wolf spiders dead Centipede done everything ugh I’m seeing that many centipedes here are we mm hmm I’ve been quite good at medicating things like this still moving nope I think he’s dried up it’s got crushed and dried up it’s outside maybe the house is so hot that they can’t stay in there no probably more probably more um this table fine for a run it hmm alright I need to clean this table down gonna give it a paint gonna paint it to make it nice and and not brown right Cowboys away right so um we got the table out there so that’s gonna be um we’re gonna rub it down paint it just get a quick rub paint it down and then obviously let it dry and then Mark can then use it in his room is it right Marie Mm hmm yep not in Marie yes yes and say yes nobody ha ha no nobody yes that’s some robot right yes so anyway is that good Marie yes it is a it is fine it is fine exceptional exceptionally it sounds very posh don’t worry about the edge there if you go too near the edge of the riff it just go and then do this bit by hand yeah I did it flat be careful not to rip it hold this bit here right and this bit as well to that side now it’s just so it makes the paint stick to it better see bits like this which raised get and just hold it slight um we’re using a paint filler uh a wood filler sorry called sodal it wasn’t expensive I think about 7 left 5 left it’s quite cheap and um got it from a car paint shop funny enough this this car paint shop mixes paint for cars also any colour paint you want for your house and their prices are really really good so um I’m gonna let you do a little bit more in a minute I thought let me just one because this one’s um I don’t like seeing all these wood it’s not attractive there you go and there and I got this big area you can probably actually use this maybe you could try to seal in between the words that’s between it can probably try and see if um see all these nails things are these nails are and cover them up my words exactly so when you paint it you shouldn’t really see any of this now these wood holes which obviously you want it to look nice not like it’s been eaten by woodworm what a woman makes a food huh a woman makes a food yeah that big they’re bigger than that not these ones I’m talking all these oh all these one yeah they can make them that big that’s on the wood I put in the in the patch case the hot glue hold the plastic I’m just giving it a wipe down I need to get some um paint uh just some cleaner acetone to clean the wood off before paint it because um I don’t know if there’s any oil on it I don’t wanna risk it with gloss paint because once you paint it can’t it’s not easy to get off so before do that see if I can get some wood filler so I need to prepare it so it looks nice see woodworm not eating out all that all woodworm but they’re not in there now let’s see if they’re gone let’s see if I can find them morning guys it is a beautiful sunny day right today I’m gonna be cutting down another tree and um let’s go this one and this was a I have a plum or apple tree I think it’s a plum tree I’m not sure this one but unfortunately it’s dead hasn’t given a fruit for a while and the cuckoos have eaten it all out and then I mean let me show you I mean um yeah the cuckoos have eaten it all out the branches are all hollow and if you look in there look so you can see daylight through there it’s gone it’s been eaten out yeah it’s um not looking too good so two options I might do I might cut the top off down and allow the bottom to stay and see what happens because sometimes um new things sprout from that could be an option or might just cut the whole thing down and something told me maybe to cut the whole thing down and No. 1 I need firewood No. 2 the tree is dead it hasn’t given anything for the last few years and No. 3 a storm hit the tree and most of it fell down anyway which I burnt a year or so ago so quite honestly I think it needs to go didn’t really wanna I didn’t really wanna um chop this tree down at all but I’ve given it a couple of years and it’s just not yeah it’s not given anything nothing’s happened no leaves on the branches nothing so yeah so unfortunately this is another one’s got to go but I need firewood so it’s not in the world I think nature will always provide and give you something um good um and it will grow another one because um we are planting more trees in the garden so it should be good to have something new right let’s go alright let’s cut this off start off with I have to put wood in the fire just put it down there sorry I have put wood in the fire you have I haven’t yet alright thanks what in oops that’s why we safety goggles I need to my dad ha ha ha be careful huh I feel like the trees don’t feel that way um I don’t know oh as long as they don’t fall in the house it’s fine um put these over here because that’s gonna be or you can take those down if you want in a minute and then use firewood one second just to put it down outside can burn that it’s dead it’s a doughnut oh there down there to that gate and then um at least it’s a bit nearer and then I can cut it up um ah ah IL VA ah right so that’s almost gone and then this thing is always better than a chainsaw absolutely amazing I’ve used this more than a chainsaw now and it’s cut really big branches so I cut down as far as I can on size and I cut down the other side and I can do quite I should look at the length of it I can do quite big branches of this um we’ll cut through this no problem let’s do a demonstration let’s oil it up just show you how good this is guys see it’s fantastic look how small it is it’s better than the chainsaw let’s have a look at this one I’m having fun in this for a bit tighten the chain up chains coming loose but um here you go hello it’s that tree is hollow as you like I mean I can see right down inside the tree big massive hole there’s a massive hole down there it’s dead what a shame I don’t say to you but the tree for the certain point is good but it’s gone so sorry tree you gonna have to go OK let’s try and get this girl down try and get it down because um put it to rest uh right I’ll top the I’m gonna top this one off first just so I fall it’s it’s hasn’t got far to go I mean I’ve got plenty of room around it but I’ll top that down and then that’s one big bit off I ain’t worried about and then I’m gonna chainsaw for this one yeah we need a chainsaw for this one right that’s one now too easy I thought it’s gonna be a lot harder than this it’s too easy I’m saying that now but we take it some older tree this one’s dead so it will be a lot easier so that’s him I just saw a couple of wasps come out of that so I’m not sure if there’s a wasp nest in there let me have a look uh I can see guys I can see massive hole in there I can put my arm inside so um what a shame it’s quite sad cutting trees down but that’s a lot of firewood it’s quite heavy as well so I’ve got a couple of firewood here let’s um clear the area make it safe to work safety is very important according to social media everything’s got to be safe isn’t it got wear goggles shorts flip flops just gotta get the job done ha ha ha anyway um right go get this down so so next thing I’m gonna cut it here I’m gonna do it in sections because I’ve got to try and move this thing after and over I can cut it up on the ground I’m gonna cut it in section there section there and then I might leave this bit to later and just cut down got a massive root there so I’m not gonna attempt to move the root that’s not important maybe I get a digger or something then I am I’ll uh move the root but for now I’ll leave it so it gets go going again yeah oh oh oh oh oh oh there we go that was coming for me that was I can move a bit closer because um she’s got a bit smaller yeah that was coming for you that was it was coming for me so right so yeah I mean look at this guy’s gone look that’s the centre of the tree look it’s gone but you know what the center of this it’s like fertilizer it’s like peat yeah huh I can’t hear right so the electric guy just came to read the meter so um that’s why I had to go down there and um yeah so it’s bit irritating because everyone’s got their meter outside we got it inside and normal people would love to have the meter inside I want the meter outside I want the meter inside the house so that’s something needs to be sorted so we’ve contact them to get it sorted they’re taking their time we want it out that’s it right anyway let me get back to bring this tree down it’s going really well at the moment better than I thought it’s going really really well see if I can just um finish this tree off I’m glad I cut it down it’s dead it’s completely gone completely gone come on I’m gonna have to take this back to the shop in a minute it’s about 16 km but I’ve got a feeling that the lower off of the tree is not as dead as I thought it was um so to be quite fair I’m gonna leave this stump here downwards the reason I’m gonna do that because often times you leave it and new sprouts if it is good start to come off there so may get a new tree out of it so I’m gonna be nice I’m gonna leave this part here and where it cuts as a stump and see what happens and if it doesn’t grow then next year I’ll cut it down or in the spring or summer I’ll cut it down but I’m gonna try and encourage the growth I really like this tree I like where it is um it’s part of that garden just makes it a bit more nicer but um but I’ve got a feeling the middle part down here is not as dead as I thought it was this part clearly is because it’s gone completely gone there’s only about that much of a ring on the outside all the way round like two maybe two and a/2 inches so ideal firewood but not ideal for for anything else really so if starting this is playing up again come on come on ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah oh come on come on remember I still have a cold as up as well and yes it has got fresh fuel in it someone said to me in the comments that we make boring videos how else can I make it cutting a tree down exciting apart from it falling on top of me or something stupid like that which I’m not gonna do by the way so um if you don’t like tree cutting and homesteading don’t watch the video um everything’s a learning curve for everyone it’s a learning curve for me I’ve not really had to cut trees down before in my life first time and um I’ve watched tree cutting I’ve watched videos countless videos of people cutting trees I’ve never thought it’s boring I thought it’s quite enlightening and kind of inspiring in terms of how we do it especially the big trees when they go to the top and they cut it down those massive ones you go you know hundred 200 feet trees pine trees and they cut them down from the top and stuff like that so I’ve Learned a lot from that so I’ve never thought it boring so if you’re not interested in learning how to cut a tree down or doing it yourself then don’t watch the videos because this is about homestead it’s about learning it’s about growing with each other it’s about growing myself ourselves as a family um living off the land and then try to show you what we’re doing so you can learn you can learn something from it um but um yeah it’s yeah how else can I make this exciting apart from a a chainsaw breaking down on me and I’ve got this tree to cut down and process and store before 2:00 when it starts to get dark I’ve got not much time it goes very quick the sun’s halfway now and within another two hours it’s gonna be the other side it’s gonna be going down so it’s a lot of work um but it’s rewarding once you’ve done it it’s actually quite rewarding so yeah but I can’t make it any more exciting what it is I really can’t but anyway um I’ve got a fuel problem in this thing so let me see whoo yep I knew it I’m getting good at this Anna see it’s a solid tree right there so I think the tree was dead down to probably about 3/4 of the way down and then this tree here is solid so I’ve got some wood if I need it later on but right now I’m good and my chainsaw is not working at the best so I’m not gonna push it so I’m gonna try and process tree cut into smaller bits I can carry down to the house and then um yeah see what happens here if you got any ideas what I can do that tree stump let us know one of them what I could do I could cut the tree stump level and make a table out of it like a nice garden yeah I could do that like a nice garden sitting area like a picnic area at the top of the garden so I could do that I could cut it down level there and then make a yeah make a garden table that’s not something I could do definitely that sounds like a plan and use a tree stump as a base and then put a nice odd wood at the top which I’ve got by the way so that could be an option so make good use of it because it is a really nice area and I mean got beautiful blue skies at the moment I mean even got airplanes going across you know don’t know what to do up there but yeah right anyway um right so I’m gonna process the woods and try and get down to the house because this thing is heavy and although I could probably lift it let’s even lift it I don’t know it’s weight it’s heavy but yeah it’s heavy right yeah so anyway I’m gonna try I’ll do some bench presses of that later on I think that is heavy right let’s process this tree let’s try and serve it all up into bits and take down right guys I finished cutting the tree and um yeah got a bit of wood got this tree stump here some wood cakes I call them they’re quite big and I got some more wood there also I’ve got stoves somewhere on the on the there and um I’ve got this big lump there that one there and that one there so I mean it’s quite big so yeah and this one’s even bigger so yeah I’m getting slowly getting the wood stocks up I still not sure if we got enough for winter probably haven’t I don’t know but we’re gonna keep cutting and I’ve got some outside the front which I’m cutting as well and I’ve got that pile there as well and then yeah so ugh not even a chance to even tidy up the garden yet I mean this was all immaculate when we left but look at it it’s all grown back again that was all nice and dug up and all ready to plant and I got these things taking over um got these branches there and some thick ones there as well and I’ve got some up there which I’ve cut from trees I just need to clear up so yeah I’ve got a bit of wood got a fair bit of wood and um yes I’m gonna process all this there’s some quite big branches there process all this and then get it all in get it dry kept kept um get it in the dryer keep it dry sorry and then um cut it up later right so I come out in the morning or we’ve come out my girls have noticed a woodpecker is trying to make a new nest in my light post which was a tree and the tree is completely dead I think it was a pear tree it died a long time ago so we made it to a light security post temporary one anyway before I change it for so this probably end up being a bit of wood next in pet store but for now and but yeah these little cuckoo and woodpeckers what you call them they do a lot of damage to the tree and they kill the trees eventually and it’s bees what killed the big tree which is at the top of the um garden I cut down it was a woodpecker what built a massive hole in it and then let all kinds of infestations in and also that tree just there as well well I’ve cut down that the same thing woodpecker just completely destroyed it there’s a hole right through the tree didn’t leave anything else so yeah this one’s alright at the moment I don’t think it’s big enough but is attacking my light post which won’t be a very longer for much longer so it’s a wrong decision to do that there’s thousands of trees out there outside our house and they’re attacking this one but anyway it’s all about nature and Bulgaria right so next job is to clear I’ve done some clearing up you can see it’s looking a lot better than it was before and that’s what I took from it earlier literally the second day and we’ve got a part of the barn here which um we’ll do some work on I’ll let you know our plans for that probably involved a few of you or a few of our subscribers and patrons in what and how we should do this part of the barn and then we’ve got another room there and then we’ve got the garage there and then we’ve got the garage there another room there and another room there and we’ve got this building here as well and we got other buildings but yeah anyway we’re gonna there’s a lot to do a lot of rubbish needs sorting out I’ve got to tidy all this up lot of wood in there by the way and I’ve got these big wooden chests there’s two two of these I’m gonna keep these I don’t know what to do with them but I’m gonna keep them paint them and use for storage they’re quite cute I like them and there’s nothing in them at the moment but I’m gonna definitely make use of those I’m not gonna get rid of them as much as I need the woods I’m not gonna do that and then the barn all the roof looks OK at the moment looks fine there’s no damage or leaks it’s got less leaks than our house has this barn ha ha so but um it’s all gonna get sorted a few dodgy tiles that I need to go up there which I could do myself and push back in but unlike our roof this barn is made with traditional tree branches so they’re curved and obviously when you see Bulgarian buildings um you’ll notice some of the roofs like our roof is perfectly square and then you got some house roofs which look like that or wavy that’s because I’ve used tree trunks natural trees which I think is great idea um but it doesn’t look as nice as what we used to in the western countries like in UK so you know that’s probably one of the straight ones and but then you get along and then you have as you can see there it goes up and down like a wave I think it’s quite good that’s character to it but the roof is structurally sound and you can see up there tree trunks natural tree trunks being used yep strong as you like and um yeah there’s a building here so some point we’ll go in there and have a look see what’s in there it’s just got um it’s got a gate and a lock and other stuff on there so but this is gonna be a kind of a garage area I might even put a door on the front of this um yeah I might just put a door on the front and make it into another garage with another door for storage on the top so that could be a good idea on me yeah so that’s it and then I’ve got another room up there I’ve not been up there I’m not even looked up there yet so and that goes all the way back and it’s quite tall I can stand up in it I can see it’s well over 10 feet 10 12 foot high and another room here another door but that’s all for another time we’ll go through all there’s loads of wood up there I’ve not looked at loads of woods I mean some it’s gonna be for building planks of wood or kind of stuff I’m gonna use the camera I’ve not looked at that yet let me see if you can see what I can see I can’t see nothing at the moment because I want to go probably you can see more than I can see up there I’m Gavin there’s loads of wood so yeah and then we’ll have a look in there and I’ll um you got the branches what the birds used to sit on I don’t know what kind of birds if you know what birds they would have been let us know so um I’ll bring it a bit closer so you can look inside so you can see it’s got the branches what the birds would have sat on could be chickens ducks geese pigeons I don’t know no probably not pigeons um so one of the jobs we want to get done if I stop tripping all the place is this I wanna get rid of all this grass all these slabs all these stones there’s tons of them I made this into a nice dry not so muddy surface which we can use and then we’re gonna get rid of that fence there and probably put a gate or something there I’m gonna do a little something special over here a little feature the other side of that fence into the field um gonna keep that tree I believe it’s an apricot tree now I can see apricot leaves growing again at the bottom I’ve got clue what that is and this gotta go this tree here this bark is amazing for burning it’s really strong but I’m gonna take it down I’m probably gonna tie the car around it and rip it down snap it in half and then cut the rest it’s so hard to cut by the way I’ve tried cutting it with a brand new chainsaw blade it just don’t like to cut but that’s gotta go because in the summer it’s got a massive ant’s nest in there and the ants are like 2 inches long never seen them so big in in Europe before but obviously in other countries they are but just a quick view of our garden of the other side our land you can see it’s starting to be autumnal great vines there yep so guys yeah that’s it little quick um run around I’ve got a lot of jobs to do today so I’m going to cut more woods and we’re preparing for winter and we need to get through winter somehow so we’re gonna um play around and uh there’s some more stuff I’ll ask you what you think I should do with it there’s a few buildings I need to take down I need to replace them with better ones and um yeah so um and also the garage needs sorting out as well mainly the doors really and it’s not derelict or anything like that but it will be when I’ve done it right so OK and um we are going to take something so yeah so we’re gonna go get on with it got stuff to go to the scrap as I mentioned before previously got chicken coop got take down wood stone is taken down I’m gonna temporary fence it rounds just temporary so I can get rid of this rubbish it’s alright so I saw hate I don’t like it and then you got a nice crazy paved area which I probably keep and I’m gonna do something quite special here not gonna let you know yet what I’m gonna do cause I’m still deciding and um yeah yeah lots of little but the roof is a important thing at the moment I can see um more activity up there not gonna say what it is because of these reasons and you can see over there as well and link comes in with what’s that pint of raw milk pint of raw milk there you go that’s what you drink in the mornings yep hahaha right I’m gonna go back I’m gonna get back to work I’m gonna get the streamer started I haven’t started for I haven’t started it for last three months so I’ll get some fresh fuel in there um put the chainsaw attachment on my chainsaw’s currently in um at the repairer’s getting looked at it’s on the warranty um so it kept stalling and it had a petrol leak and a lot of stuff I might even put a brand new blade on the chainsaw um because I think I’ll need it at some point so yeah go from there right no no wipe just wipe see me guys oh yeah do it properly looks like we don’t want a dust on the paint especially brown dust that’s on the paint as you do it all properly around the legs inside down inside underneath underneath the bottom and inside this bit so if not the dust will go on your paint you have to redo it all again rub it all down do them edges and make sure all the way down all the way down it both sides that’s it and the other side right so um forgot to put in this chair put it on it put it on it hello right so get some finish where that is down there huh I didn’t realize it was there yep and then we do this right put a bit in this you got me in a well vent ventilated area like that just rub it like that and what does this do mate it’s a what it’s a what paint nope there’s no paint on it yet so what you doing to the surface I don’t know you don’t know you’re preparing it for paint so this gets rid of any grease or anything what can make the paint because when you use gloss paint if you get oil on it it bubbles up and then you literally have to rub it all down again and then repaint it so you don’t want to do that because that’s a that’s gonna be a waste of time but this gets the really grease off the wood or metal depends on what you use it on it’s been important very important that you clean this off properly all the table I’ve got gloves on the skin I’ve got gloves on the skin but it’s not gonna burn you nothing that’s why I wear gloves just to makes your skin dry it won’t it won’t hurt you enough like that but oh no pain yeah really you should take your trousers off mate if you got black trousers on I’ll paint it on it yeah I’ll paint it back it needs to be done yeah with gloss hey Zoro you okay ah sitting in the sun you okay baby dog dog doggy dog dog you okay oh okay don’t wanna talk bye then dog dog yeah oh oh yeah yeah let’s go see what Chris is up to okay so you’ll find that when you just come return back home the grass would have grown so high so Chris is at the moment just cutting it down because it’s not good to leave your um grass area surrounding your house uncut because then people may think that you’re not living here or um it may just cause you know issues that you don’t necessarily want so this is just cutting the garden oh he’s just finished ha ha ha ha that thing heavy oh that’s heavy it’s cutting into my leg oh my God mine my leg oh sorry shh no a Mashinka Mashika oh by the way that is what they call um these cutters over in Bulgaria a mashinka a mashinka so right so I was just saying obviously cut around the house making sure that it’s um all kept low so that people know that someone is living here yeah not only that if you cut it now I think you save yourself some work in spring because it’s gonna be a lot smaller yeah so you’re not gonna be a massive rush to cut it down in spring because if I leave it now I mean last time it was 6 foot high hmm so I’ve cut it down now so they’d be a lot smaller and it’s not like oh my gosh I need to cut it today yeah so it looks better as well yeah definitely so it’s brilliant you gonna give the garden one last cut as well before the end of yeah at some point yeah definitely um probably later on the week yeah I’ve got a lot quite a lot to do today yeah but for them just tied up along the edge of the house yeah so it’s not great at water and also it’s good for stopping damp and water attention along the wall yeah um yeah so yeah that’s brilliant all good so what’s our um intentions on the windows again are we um we’re gonna paint it I like to keep them I like double glazed windows but I like to keep them also um so I like the woods so I don’t know maybe we restore some of them and change some of them hmm uh I don’t know will the windows actually in good order hmm yeah it is down painting I like the I like the old hmm cottage kind of look definitely so one thing that we realized yesterday someone was saying to us was um these old kind of what do you call them sash windows no no just windows yeah just normal country side windows yeah um so anyway yeah the windows on the house you can actually change the glass to be double glazed glass right or triple glazed glass yeah triple glazed even um but what you gotta be careful of some of these windows frames are actually old in part the houses up I don’t think it’s the case in this one but you can see it’s got concrete cement boards I don’t think it’s the case in this house but on some of the older house the frame is actually part of the structure so we spoke to someone a while ago and they took their frame out and put their house to collapse so we had to quickly get a builder in to save it um watch YouTube videos that don’t go too happy and thinking structurally I will do everything I can what I can when it comes to structurally um important to the property that’s when I’ll take a rain check and pay someone or get someone to work with me on it and they can guide me on what I need to do because if you do something like that and part of your house loses structure and its strength that could be a massive job for the sake of a window pay someone and but yeah always have a go but be careful try and get advice from local and and I’ve heard this twice from two different people now and that’s why they’ve made this into double glazing and not change the windows because it is part of the property where ours is a little bit different I can see you got proper um strength is at the top there and I will definitely seek proper advice for the builders to say but it looks to me on this window you can change the frame without any massive problems and some people in the area have changed double glazing around the side when it’s 100 and over a hundred plus years then I think back then it was literally the window the wood is that good I mean come on you can’t knock it um they’ve lasted that long and still own the property up yeah right so what next we’re gonna run down and go and get the um uh my sinker down at the shop yeah I need to pick up my chainsaw so the chainsaw is down at the shop getting uh serviced so we’re gonna run down there you guys can probably come uh we’ll take you down there to the better run behind us then start running now we’re driving anyway we’ll take you down to the store ha ha ha we’ll take you down to the store that we get the um the machine uh serviced a lot of you guys have said that you do wanna see two videos a week so we’re gonna try we will definitely try and get to out and maybe on a Thursday and a Sunday just to give us enough time to get them the videos together to be honest with you maybe the one during the week may not be so edited and some of you guys were like well just put it up raw you know just just put it up as it is so we might do that we might just do that yeah and the Sunday one will be a proper one exactly yeah so we might just um the catch up one during the week will be the raw one and the uh Sunday one will be the premier one right duh yeah right so we got a lot to do today it’s about 11 o’clock we’re gonna run downtown and then um yeah we’ve we’ve got so much planned for this house it’s just so much things that we’re planning right now I mean as you can see wood is important for winter um just making sure the house is good on the outside because obviously the roof is important then obviously we can do work inside we have got issues at the moment on the outside so we’re gonna try and get sorted out yeah um I’m not gonna attempt it myself um only because it’s just common sense yeah and but I will get someone I’ll get some quotes very quickly to get just make it secure make it tight make everything good for winter yeah then everything else inside we can play with yeah and but we got a lot of stuff outside of me yeah we got a lot to do yeah and we got some good ideas for the outside but we’re not gonna say nothing yet so not there yet but we’re gonna got a really good idea for the outside yeah I can’t wait yeah see it it’s gonna be amazing yeah checked out our shorts how many of you guys would drink raw milk let us know uh because you know that’s what we do every day we only drink raw milk I mean most of you live in the UK or other countries have probably never really tasted raw milk for a very long time well you haven’t got an option right now yeah is that if I grew up with small bottles of milk at school yeah and we used to get that was proper milk you can taste the cream and everything else like that it’s so good the milk pies I don’t know you know no maybe even when you were younger it was pasteurized maybe not homogenized and standardized no no but it was pasteurized maybe and then obviously they went to homogenize and standardized yeah but now it’s not even milk yeah now it’s not even milk so if you come to Bulgaria try the milk honestly you’re not gonna go back so nice that that fake stuff that water stuff that’s selling in supermarkets is not it at all yeah and then you feel so much better as well oh you do yeah definitely has health health benefits um so some people are saying that milk causes um I like an intolerance so they get a lot of mucus and uh some sort of reaction to milk that may be the milk that you get in the UK yeah uh it may be the fact that you’ve not actually had proper raw milk yeah from the cow so it’s worth trying it I obviously I’m not telling anyone to do that because of course you know but I’m not I don’t know what your health situation is and I don’t want you to try real milk Elaine’s my doctor not yours so she can advise me but not you but you know if you can and you feel that you could possibly tolerate it then definitely give it a try well then they um you know we know people including our kids who know who couldn’t drink milk in UK yeah and they’ve stopped drinking there was obviously taking um alternatives um in between but now they drink proper milk and they have no reactions at all oh not only that um when we were when we just had the girls they were like well apparently according to the doctor they were lactose intolerant obviously we were breastfeeding them I was breastfeeding them not we I was breastfeeding them and um after they would have the breast milk they would then ha ha they would then um come up with a load of spots and bumps all over them so we went to the doctors and they said look they I think we think that they’re lactose intolerant but obviously through my milk was only the things that I was eating and drinking going to them so and I weren’t having normal milk I weren’t having raw milk I wasn’t eating proper you know proper raw food proper food you know that you’d get um organic food that you’d buy in or or grow yourself on your land so um to that was I think one of the problems because now the girls have the normal raw milk and there is no issues at all no exactly exactly and the milk is amazing with cereal it never nothing about Bulgaria the corn flakes oh it feels like corn I know I know it’s from the workshop beginning k I’m not giving any advertisement on this channel because we’re about to standing but the corn flakes is amazing yeah I wish I could make my corn flakes oh wish can you make it yourself I don’t know no you must be it’s I’m sure before the corporations took over yeah we could make our own corn flakes there must be somebody in Bulgaria if you know anybody let us know who actually can make real corn flakes the original corn flakes whatever that may be and then we will buy it because the corn flakes there taste amazing and the milk especially it’s out of this world I’ve never enjoyed cornflakes in UK you got to have sugar and frosty’s and yeah all that rubbish laced on top of it to make it nice yeah I can have it raw without sugar and it tastes amazing and you can taste the corn in it yeah exactly so guys none of what we’re saying is constituting as any advice so please do not take uh what we do and do you also say I don’t know what you’re talking about no I’m not saying that I’m off bye bye right so um as I was saying none of this constitutes as advice guys just we’re just sharing our experience with you obviously if you are lactose intolerant and um that is what your doctor has possibly has possibly told you then um you know follow the advice it is what it is you know so um but yeah if you do wanna see something different if you do wanna um follow our
