Green Island Gardens, in Park Road, Ardleigh, was crowned the Royal Horticultural Society’s (RHS) Partner Garden of the Year 2024.
The garden is cared for by a small team of two regular staff members, a couple of volunteers, and by garden owner and designer Fiona Edmond.
Fiona will be showing the public how to create their very own festive wreath using colourful materials found at Green Island – materials which can also be found in your garden at home.
The handmade wreath will last for at least a month meaning it will survive into the New Year.
The workshops will be held in a tearoom inside the garden and will take place on Wednesday, December 10 and on Thursday, December 11.
Both events will last from 11am to 12.30pm.
Green Island Gardens has a variety of events throughout the year with one-day courses aimed at those who have an interest in gardening and want to improve their gardens.
There is a six-week design your own garden course to help people create a design tailored to their own garden.
Christmas Wreath Workshops cost £45 a session and to book visit www.greenislandgardens.co.uk/courses-talks.
