I scooped some stuff out of my pond and I think it's cool their is some snails living in there and thir was a crawl fish too but it died I want to add shrimp but I dont what them to end up like the crawl fish

i was able to successfully add shrimp to my aquarium that began with stuff from a pond, but i did so after letting the tank settle for several months with weekly water changes and got a filter for it. that might be doable for this?
