[Music] Hey guys, welcome back. This morning it’s a nice overcast day. Hopefully we have overcast for the next 40 minutes or so, as long as it takes me to film this video. But I wanted to do another garden tour for the month of August. It’s been super hot and super dry this year. So, I’ve tried my best to keep things looking pretty good, and everything has has ended up looking pretty good. So, I’m pretty happy with how my annuals have filled in. And so, we’re just going to share the garden with you. I live in Utah gardening zone 7A if you’re new here. And if you’re new, welcome to my channel. So, let’s turn the camera around and give you a little tour. I want to give you a little peek here of the yard before we start. So, we have this creek that we’ve had here. I get questions about the creek, and it is a natural creek. There is a pipe that runs along here under underground and so that gives us little spillway for a waterfall which is really nice at the end of our property. But it’s really nice cuz we have this running through here. We did come in and have a rock company put in all these big boulders which has been really really nice because it had some smaller boulders in some places not anything. So it was just kind of eroding in some areas. So, it’s really nice to have these here. They’re strong. Uh when we get heavier rains, it I mean the creek will come right up to the top of these rocks. And sometimes if we get a big storm, it will overflow here, but that’s only happened a couple times. But anyway, just wanted to give you a little spiel about the creek. It’s It’s really really fun to have. It’s been a little low this year because we haven’t had a ton of water, but we have had years before in the past where we’ve been in such a drought that it’s only been a little trickle. So, um, we’re hoping that this winter we’ll get a lot more moisture. We’re supposed to be getting some rain this week, too. It kind of keeps postponing. We were supposed to get it this weekend, but now we’re supposed to get it the beginning of this week, and it should cool down into the upper 70s, mid 80s. So, it should be should be really really nice. So, let’s see. Where are we going to start today? We’ll have a look here at our hanging baskets. They’ve been doing really well, actually. So, I’ve been fertilizing them pretty well. In there, we have the Super Tuna bubblegum, the Super Tuna Jaspberry, and Super Tunia Silverberry. And those tend to do really well together. I like that combination. I might do that again next year. I just love having pink up there. Pink is my favorite color in the garden. So, over here, I have my garden boxes. That’ll be part of my garden tour that I do for the front. But maybe let’s start over here and then hopefully these clouds will stay um and give us some nice light. Otherwise, I’m going to have to film this a little bit later. So, here is my lady of shellot rose. It’s been really nice. I am going to come in here soon. Um I’ve started to train it down here and then I got busy this summer and didn’t really finish it. So, I do want to cut a few out because this gets so wild and it even kind of pulls my obelisk back because it gets heavy that way, but I want to continue to train that now that it has these young and pliable um stems. So, that’ll be later this week hopefully if I get around to it. The lavender, this lavender has been blooming all summer. Been so nice. My geraniums are starting to really give us some color. And then look at this you guys. This is so pretty. I absolutely love this. I keep thinking, should I cut that back? And then I’m like, no, I’m just going to leave it alone. It’s so so stunning. I’m really happy with the Terrenia. One of my favorite new finds this year is this Terrenia. I’ll put the name on the screen. And then we have the Super Tuna Fuchsia, Super Tunia Black Cherry, which I have absolutely loved this new Medusa sweet potato vine. Love it. This next year they’re actually coming out with a black one and I cannot It’s like sweet Caroline Medusa black and I can’t wait to get my hands on it. I have big plans for that and some new super tunas that they have coming out next year too. Um, also in here we have the royal velvet superunia and the saffron finch. And I love just the touch of yellow. It’s growing through my post here. Beautiful and vibrant. We also have the I can’t remember. It’s like peach something superbina and it’s I I mean I tried to cut this back for so long to have this fill in and it’s still reaching but those just are a little slower than the super tunias but man look how how stunning that is. Absolutely love that. Been so fun. I’m going to leave it. I have a gorgeous pot under there from Pottery Barn. Can’t even see it because it’s just so happy. In all my containers and pots, I love to use Proven Winners because they just perform and perform. and I have been fertilizing them um as often as I can, at least once a week, sometimes every other week if I’ve been out of town, but everything’s been really happy. Another thing that I’ve absolutely loved are these white swan maragolds. I started them from seed late winter, early spring, and I will definitely be growing them again. So beautiful. I do think maragolds are pretty easy to start from seed just in the ground, but they kind of take a while to get going. So, I think I’ll do them again in my house and just start that way. I was really happy with the results with that. I have a video that I just put up actually of all the things I started from seed um start to finish how my process was and then harvest and then showing you some bouques. And so I started a bunch of cut flowers and we’ll talk about those soon here. But that was really fun for me. Kind of a lot of work, but seeing the results has made me happy and realize that I definitely want to do it again. Out front here I have the scavilla. It’s really really starting to fill in and I love that combination. I just barely cut these maragolds down. They’re really tall, actually. I just love them. Underneath them, I have some scavola and the sparkling amethyst superbina, and it’s just beautiful. One of my favorite superas. I definitely want to do some more out front. I did it a few years ago, and I’m kind of missing it seeing this. So, maybe I’ll add some more purple next year in the front yard. That garden tour will be on a different video, so stay tuned for that. So, really good combination. These also take a little while to get going, but they’re finally starting to fill in. and I’ll get to enjoy them for the next month and a half, maybe even two months. And then over here, another thing that I want to start from seed are zenyas. I did quite a few zenyas in my yard this year and these low growing ones were definitely my favorite and I just got them from a garden center and that took them a while to get going. I put them in a little later. So, I think I want to start some zenia seeds next year, too. They just fill in the area so nice. This area is really hard because it’s really dry here. I also um replaced a regular lamb’s ear or standard I guess with the Vonstein Helen vonstein and I have really enjoyed that. And both of those have done really great in this area where it’s quite dry. And look how pretty that is. It’s only about what 10 in tall maybe 12. Perfect height to just stick in some areas. So I’m really going to plant some more Zenia seeds um this next late winter. I love this. This is kind of starting to recharge. This is my elephant woolly time. It’s a little bit different than the regular woolly time as I’ve been looking at it at the garden center and I absolutely love it. It’s got a little chlorotic. So, I did add some iron and you can see it’s starting to recover, but it gets these little tiny purple flowers. It’s a fun filler for my steps. And I even have some that’s kind of growing still down here. So, that’s been really, really fun this year. down here is one of my favorite things this summer. Turned out exactly like I thought it would and I’m so happy with it. The coolness. I love doing cool toned colors here because it gets so hot and dry here that you just need something that looks a little fresh and this is definitely super fresh. And I’m so glad I went with the mini vista white because the mini vista white is a little more compact and these blooms just keep going and going and going. I’ve probably only fertilized this maybe five times total this summer for how much I was out of town. Tried to do it weekly, but it just didn’t really pan out exactly. And look at it. It just keeps blooming. And I love that these are so compact that you can’t really see the dead blooms. So, usually when the white blossoms die back, they’re kind of this brown color, but you really don’t notice it with this like you do other ones. So, if I’m going to do white patunias in my yard, this is definitely going to be the one that I pick. It’s absolutely stunning. Love this area so much. So glad I get to enjoy this and I’m glad that it’s finally filled in. We got the Sally Fun Salvia annual. Then we have a few different varieties of dusty miller. I have the regular and the new look dusty miller, which I like a little bit better because the leaves are a little more broad, decorative, I guess you could say. So, these are pretty decorative as you can see here. Really pretty though. Oh, I love it. And these are just a little more smooth. So, that’s nice. And it’s a little bit of a darker color, which I actually really love. So, this has been so fun. It will be hard for me not to repeat this, but I think I want to do a little more pink here in the backyard next year. I absolutely love that. Really, really pretty. Just keeps going and going. And I know if I would have used the other white one, I can never remember the name of it. It’s the super tuna white one. Um I have some actually let me go slow over here. Um and it’s pretty, but I think it would have been just overflowing onto the grass where this is stays a little compact. So I’m really happy that I went with that one. Let’s take a look over here at our pots. Really doing pretty. This one’s kind of just going crazy and flowing in to the flowers on the ground. And I actually really love that. So, I’m leaving it. I did cut this back a little bit so the misuse should could shine. And everything’s looking really happy. I’ve had a lot of issues. Oh, see that moth? Speaking of budworms, those are the moths that lay eggs that give you budworms. I’m pretty sure I’ve had to really fight them this summer just because I wasn’t really good at being preventative. But everything’s looking really healthy now. Love, love, love this. I’ve talked about it in every video, but um this is the Royal Velvet Super Tunia. This is the Bermuda Beach. This is the Pimmen. Really pretty. I’m actually loving it more. And I think it’s because it’s I’ve been um fertilizing it better so it just looks better. Whereas last month I was kind of like I don’t know if I’ll do these again. But look how pretty they are. I’m just going to let them go. This is one of my favorite ones. I think this is called Priscilla. Oh my goodness. Lovely, lovely, lovely, lovely. And then the angelonia angel face white. And what’s nice is you can cut these back. These are a hybrid snapdragon. And you can see I cut a few back and then I’m getting this new growth here, too. So once they’re kind of done, I should probably come cut back this one pretty soon. Um, and they they start to kind of lean over a little bit. and then I’ll cut it and then it’ll just give you another one. In fact, this one’s getting one out of the side here, which is interesting. But it’s a really fun plant. I actually like it a lot. This one’s exactly the same. What is this? Oh, is this chlorotic? Maybe. That’s really pretty though. I thought it was like a bloom, but I think it’s just a little chlorotic. Or maybe it’s just new growth coming out. These priscilla I have noticed do need to be deadheaded a little bit. You can really see the the spent blooms and so it’s hard for me not to come in here. These kind any of these kind that are newer breeds don’t really have to be deadheaded. You used to have to come back and and pinch back patunias, but not these, which is really nice. You just pull out those little little dead blooms. Really pretty. I’m so excited for this Dalia to bloom. And as soon as this one blooms, I’m waiting on like two more. I’ll do my Dalia tour, but that’s to come. And then this plant, it’s getting a little hot right here. I should probably move it, but it’s hooked up to a drip line, and I just don’t want to. But this is going to be my Halloween porch plant, so I’m hoping it kind of recovers as I am here more often now. But you can see it’s getting more leaves. I think I think it will. That’ll be really nice, actually, cuz I cut it back. So, love that nine bark, though. Really fun to have a dark plant on the porch, so I’m looking forward to that. Let’s check this. Not too exciting right now, but I cut it way back. It was getting a little bit leggy and reaching for the sun. And you can cut these back, these geraniums, and make them look better. In fact, I cut everything back. I just like things a little tidier. And now I’m starting to get some blooms. So, in a month or probably a couple weeks, actually, I’ll have some blooms. I’m having a few gettogethers at my house in a few weeks. So, I’m hoping to have that bloom when that time comes. And it looks like it will. So, that’s nice. And this ivy is doing so great. I’m so happy. This has taken a year and a half. Got I came and snipped a few things and I think that was like part of it that I cut that was kind of wrapped around. Yeah, I’ll have to like there. Much better. Set that down. But look how lovely this is. And ivy is just pretty and it stays green all winter. And so it’s going to be beautiful out here. I’m even starting to get it to the top and to the point where I can come and wind this down here. So that’s Oops, not recording. Wind it down there. So that’s really fun. So I love that. But yeah, little bit of a lull right now for that. Let’s look at this view here. Really pretty. I love the white that we have back there too with the regular white super tuna. So so pretty and fun. Okay, I think next year I want to do some evergreens because I feel like I have so many flowers. So many flowers, which is nice, but I I need some more evergreens and some more conifers. So, that’s what I’m going to be focusing on, I think, this fall and next spring. Up here we have not too many things in action. Everything’s kind of lulled out except we do have these beautiful tiara blue super tunias and I really do love them in ground. I think I like them in ground better than in pots. I have this little bit of grass here. I wanted to test this out to see what grass looked like in this area and I really like it. I think I will add some grass around here. And when those loop pine bloom there in the spring, I love it. And so next year, I think I want to plant some annual salvia around the base of the tree to have a little height. So I’m just saying that right here so I can remember that next time I’m planning for what annuals to plant next year. Okay, let’s walk up here. Love that blue color. Isn’t that so pretty? That purple blue. Another thing I’m absolutely loving is this juniper right here. And it’s a ground cover pretty much. And you’ve kind of see these in parking lots and stuff, but I’m gonna keep mine kind of trimmed up and looking really nice. But I love the color of it. And it’s just going to grow around this tree base here. I think it’s going to be absolutely stunning. My husband’s working in the garage on our mower. If you hear any noise in the background, another thing that I absolutely love are these blanket flower. I had some right when we first moved in or my landscaper put them my landscaper put them in. I didn’t ask for them or anything, but they’re really pretty. I like the red. It’s a good color red for me. I’m kind of picky about my reds and it’s nice to have that and I love it with the purple there. It’s been a fun combination. They’re little baby plants. I bought them really small. So, they’re doing pretty good. The hissip bloomed again. This area is looking a little sad. These comb flowers, these are like the nougat from Monrovia. Um, and this is what they typically look like. So pretty. They’ve done so well this year. Last year and the years before they’ve gone black really quickly, but it’s taken them a while and they are brown. I’ll come back and dead head some of these, but then I probably won’t dead head them again in the fall because they’re so pretty when they have snow on them in the winter. They add a lot of winter interest. And then my opolescence flocks is getting a second flush. And it’s not quite as showy as the first flush, but still so pretty. And I love this pink flower. One of my favorite favorite flowers. My patunia down here is doing pretty good. Um, and then I have this zenia. I love this warm toned pink. I usually go for cool toned pinks and I’m absolutely loving the warm toned pink. So, I’m definitely going to do more of those next year. And like I mentioned before, I want to start a lot from seed because they’re pretty easy to start and just have areas just full in masses. And I usually grow the tall flower cut flower variety, but I’m really liking the shorter varieties this year. But it’s a fun little touch to have, especially next to the Auga here. This is the burgundy glow auga. And I think it is mixed with a different one, too. I feel like I must have mixed few. This is the burgundy glow. And then um this looks like the one that I put over by the other um my blue spruce that I’ll show you. This bindweed gets everywhere. So annoying. Um but yeah, I definitely think this is a different variety mixed with this one. And then we have the same zenas here. Look how they glow in the garden. They’re just so pretty. And I’m really liking my limelight. This is the little lime. And it looks really good with that pink color. Especially as things warm up. I kind of have that trouble like I feel like things don’t look as good with the summer colors. And this is just a really good combo even with that warming up and becoming pink. So so pretty. This plum veined super tuna did okay. It struggled a little bit, but it’s fun to have that color combo. And those little rud beckia varieties, they’re really short. They’re like the toto lemon or something like that. Didn’t get real big, but still pretty. Anyway, we can’t we can’t win everything, right? They did their best, but I definitely want more zenyas in my garden. They they just glow. Coming over here, this is a fun area that’s starting to look a little fallish to me, especially with that burning bush turning red. So pretty. And then the orange and then the limelight here. Um, this one has struggled with chlorosis a little bit, but it’s it’s recovering a little bit. I need to add more iron to it. I love maragolds. I’ll definitely be growing more of those, especially the orange one. They just pop in the yard and I especially love them this time of year. And I love orange with pink. That’s one of my favorite combos. This gar is really interesting. I think I might get rid of it. It just it’s just weird. It doesn’t bloom half the time. Half of it does, half of it doesn’t. I’ve tried to give it like three years chance, but it’s just not doing that great. But isn’t that fun? All the different variety of plants in there giving us all the different textures and colors. areas are really starting to come together. We have my delphinium blooming again. All of a sudden it’s just earlier it wasn’t kind of hanging down, but now it is. But look how pretty that purple. I cut my other one all the way back that was over here. Um and it never came back. I heard someone say that you’re supposed to chop it down all the way. I didn’t with this one and it bloomed again. So I think I’ll not do that again. Think I’ll just leave that one. But I love the bright leaves in there. I think that’s a perfect spot for it, too. It’s really happy right there. And I cut these daisies back. And you don’t really get very many blooms, but I did get one on that second flush. And then here’s the Auga that’s very similar, the same to that other one. And I’ll put the name on the screen because I just planted this this spring and it’s been really fun. Love the violas when they were a little happier and it wasn’t 100°. So, I will be coming in here and popping in pansies and violas in little different corners in my yard because it’s just so fun to have to have them there. They’ve kind of faded. Uh they might spring back. We’ll see how they do. This area is turning out really nice, too. We had our serendipity alium just finished blooming. And what’s showing right now are these gorgeous rudekia. Love rudekia. I added two more this year. one right here in this terrible soil. It’s struggling a bit, but it’s going to rain the next couple days, so I think that will make it pretty happy. And then I planted another one over here. And I’m going to love that surrounding that tree, that blue spruce. Such a pretty combination. I love that in the fall, especially peeking behind the rock and behind these pianies. And then also paired with this purple color. I’m loving orange and purple this year and yellow and purple. And my first time trying loilia this year. I’ll definitely be adding that again. That one’s really fun to tuck into for just like a little little pop of color. I’ve been having fun playing with this area and it’s starting to come together. I feel like every like three or four weeks we get a new combination of blooms here. It’s kind of sunny. Hopefully you can see the sun’s peeking out a little more than I want it to right now, but if you can see the gar that just adds a little bit of whimsy to the garden bed. And then right here you get that flush of the hearty geranium. This is the boom chocolata and it’s still a baby plant so it’s going to be even better in the coming years. But I love the purple with those rubecia. So pretty. And then the pink of the pink cashmere superbina which is going to have a lot of blooms here in a couple weeks. That one really took a hard time to get started but this area is a little more shady this year. It’s starting to turn a little more shady. In fact, this area has really struggled. I need to add some evergreens, I think, in this space in front. Some evergreens that I’ll definitely be adding are these Muga pines. These are the smaller variety. I can’t remember if this is the slowmount or the dwarf. I think it’s just a dwarf. So, it should get like 3 feet by 3 feet. I might switch the sedum and put that there. Uh might do a few few little switches. Oh dear. I think we have a chicken or something over here that Piper’s stalking. Let’s see what’s happening. Is there a chicken here? Piper, don’t get the chicken through the fence. Little turkey. At least they’re not in our yard. They keep coming in here and stirring up all my mulch. Okay, back to where we were. And this lighting is a little better so you can kind of see the layer of color here. And we have a little bit of that purple with the sparkling amethyst superb vena which was kind of slow too. But everything everything’s looking pretty good for this time of year. It’s we’ve had a lot of lot of heat. These atlas roses are struggling a little bit here. So I might move them. You can see where the chickens have messed up my mulch a little bit. And some more zenyas in this spot. The soil is really terrible and they’re actually doing good despite that. And then over here by the creek, we have these that I planted this year, and it’s been so fun to have some flowers here. I didn’t have flowers here any of the other years. And like I mentioned, these zenas have been my favorite, especially these low growing ones. And I like that they’re low and you can still see the creek. And it’s been a fun pop of color. I’m trying to get this soil a little bit better. I added some soil pep to it, but it’s done pretty good. Piper walking across the creek. Um, and I also have some salvia here and also some geranium. So, this area has been fun. They’re doing the best they can. It’s really hot, really dry, terrible soil, but we’ll just keep planting here and it will get better and better. Okay, let’s continue along here. We’ll just go along the creek here and then we’ll come back up to the other side. I want to show you this too, though. So, these willow trees were clear down here and in the creek and it was just kind of claustrophobic and we cut them back so nice. Cut a few branches back and it just opened up the area and it feels so much better. I do like them kind of hanging down there, but it was just too much hanging down there. So, it feels good to have those cut back. Let’s go through here. There’s really not many changes in here. Obviously, I am going to come in here and plant up a bunch of ferns. I want that just full of ferns. These are western sword ferns. They do well in our area. So, we’re in Utah, gardening zone 7A, and it’s definitely dry here. And these these do pretty well in the dry dry heat. I do want to try a few different varieties throughout the yard, too, to see if there’s one that’s even better than these. Um cuz these have come back, but this one’s quite a bit smaller than it was last year. But I think I need to figure out the water situation in here. It’s just not quite quite up to par. You can see that these aster plants that I planted are struggling and hopefully they’ll be better next year. And it’s just because it’s hot and dry here. And I think these can do well in these kind of spots, but only once after they’re established. So anyway, I need to come and and water these a little bit better. But doesn’t it look so much better along the creek? Just a little more open. This is our property here. Um eventually I’d like to come put sprinklers over there or drip lines or something and be able to make that really pretty, too. But I do kind of like that it’s a little natural. We do need to come in and control some of the weeds though. But Piper absolutely loves this creek as you can see. Um, so pretty in here. The only flowers that I really planted in here were these surefire white beonas and they’ve done pretty good. They’re a little leggy because it is dry on this hill. This hill’s really hard. This area gets quite a bit of sun actually, but they’ve done they’ve done enough. I just wanted a little bit of white in here. I’m going to come in here this fall and plant more pansies. These pansies, a lot of them are like 2 years old and so I want to refresh it and bring more. And I just love how big and beautiful they get in the spring in here. And I would just love to have little pops of white everywhere. Piper. Piper, you in the creek? You playing? That’s fun. Looking for the muskrat, huh? There’s a muskrat in here that goes swimming around. She likes to hunt for it. There’s a couple of them actually. Oh, that’s a Piper. What is that? Don’t eat that. I don’t know what that is. Okay. And look how cute those little sunflowers are up there. It’s It’s starting to get a little fuller. It’s really dry on this hill. Everything struggles. But look how happy the Brunner are getting a little tired. And it just feels magical down here now. Such a big change from a couple years ago. You can see the flowers that I planted up here. The bordeau on this border didn’t quite get as much sun and they’re not quite as vigorous as the superunia bubblegum that I used last year. And so I think I want to switch back to those next year or jaspberry. Wouldn’t jasper be so pretty? But I just love this purple color. Border is one of my favorite superenas. And maybe we’ll try to get close on top so you can take a look at those. This area is really dry right here. In fact, the sprinkler only reaches to there, about right here. So, I’ve had to hand water this, I just realized. So, I think we will add one more sprinkler that way. And obviously, I need to move that hydrangeanger. I need to put something in there like a butterfly bush, something that’s going to do really well in dry conditions. So, I think that’s my plan. Also going to put some more evergreens down here, too, to add that interest here. And then look up here at the lizanths. Oh my gosh, I have absolutely loved the lizanthas so much. So, so much. They were such a pain. They took forever to grow from seed, but the reward was so worth it. Look at these. Oh my goodness. Can you even I think this is voyage 2 pink. This is champagne. And it kind of starts to turn pink after this champagne color. It starts off kind of a yellow, but those are just magical. My favorite is probably this lavender. Look how pretty it is. They start out a little frilly and then they turn into this. Really pretty. And first love is like a white with just a blush of pink. Stunning. Again, we’ll look at those up on top, too. I’m definitely going to grow those again. So worth it. I was saying all summer that they’re not that worth it, but they definitely are. I just need to start them a little sooner. This status is really fun, too. Took some inside to dry for the fall. I’ll put some in some pots on my shelves. really pretty. Planted some more sunflower seeds. Let’s go up top and look at those. But before we do look at the peaches on my tree, I only have about 10 or 15 this year. I need to learn a little more about pruning my tree. I kind of pruned it a little too well this year. But let’s see. Here’s all the sunflowers popping up. I should probably just pull these out. Kind of silly. But here are the sunflower seeds. And then this little area next to my steps is really fun, too. I have another knifia. This is a Monrovia poco orange. One of them died and I finally found the other one that I needed. Haven’t been able to find it until I went to a certain garden center. So, I’m going to plant one more here. There was three. And then this is the melon, one in a melon. I believe it’s called the cone flower. And it’s an orange cream, but it’s turned this beautiful yellow. And I love it with the denim and lace Russian sage. So pretty. There’s a lot going on right here. A little too much in my opinion, but beautiful. I mean, look at that superbina pink cashmere. It is just stunning. One of my favorite plants. It’s really happy here. Oh, there’s a big bumblebee. And this rose of Sharon Standard. This is the blue chiffon has been going all summer long. It just keeps going and going, much more than it was last year. I think this is its third year, the end of its second year. Yeah. And it just keeps giving me more and more of these gorgeous blooms. And I just absolutely love them. And I love it paired with this pink cashmere. And you can barely see the mizu because this is just going so crazy. But so stunning. I love pink. So pretty. And then let’s take a look at our window box. Wow. Really, really stunning. I went for color this year and that’s definitely what I have is a lot of color. This purple, this is the royal velvet that I’ve have a lot of in my yard with the fuchsia. This one finally filled in. It’s kind of slow going. This is an orange snapdragon. Did I say this is a fuchsia patunia? And then I also have some different salvia varieties. And then this one I just kind of deadheaded it. So they’re just starting to come back here. I keep cutting this back. I I like it to be a little contained and it gets a little out of control. And I want to be able to see this blue whirling whirlwind blue scavola doesn’t quite trail as much as I want it to. It’s full of blooms though. It’s beautiful. And so I keep cutting things back so we can see that. And look how gorgeous it looks next to this pimmen. Oh my gosh, look at that color combo. So so pretty. We have some dianths back here. Yeah, just a lot of color. And that’s what I was going for when these all start to bloom. These white ones, they’re so pretty and delicate coming out of here. So those are kind of in a lull right now. And of course, I kind of cut these back a little bit, too. So hopefully when I have my garden party out here and my husband’s birthday party is 50th, it’ll all look really full and beautiful again. But look how pretty. Look how pretty this binka vine is with this scavilla. Love that combo. Love any like cool toned leaves with purple. So pretty. And those dianths. I’m really loving that pop of fuchsia. I planted several of those throughout my yard. So, that’s been fun. So, that’s my window box this year. Need to start planning for what I’m going to do next year. That’s always the fun part. And then the reward is seeing it all in bloom. Really fun. Okay, let’s move over here. We have some tractor parts. We’ve been busy this summer. My kids have been busy helping people in their yards with our tractor. Look how many pairs we have. Cannot wait till these are all ripe. First pairs we’ve gotten out of these trees. And I do have some peaches. Getting ready. They’re nice and golden right now. Getting close. Here’s an upper view of these lizanths. I just want to show you these first. love. They start out white and then they just get like a hint of pink. And I did a whole video of all these plants that I started from seed and my experience, so you can watch that. But I just want to show you guys because I know more people watch my my garden um tours. This is one of my favorites, though. I definitely need to come cut these and give them to a friend tomorrow. I’m taking dinner to my neighbor who’s having surgery. So, I’m going to cut some and take them to them. I should probably do that before it rains. Really pretty. And then here’s the misu. Look at this ground cover. It’s amazing. I love it. I planted it too far away this year, though. It hasn’t quite made it off the edge, but it will in a month. Um, we have some geraniums down here, too, but they’re they’re just getting ready to bloom again. And then here is the Bordeaux. Love that. One of my favorites. Not quite as vigorous as some of the other ones, though. Okay, out here in front of the shed are my shed pots. Here, let me back up so you can see the shed a little bit. So pretty this year. I absolutely love the combination. One of my favorite annuals I’ve discovered this year is this Terrenia. I think it’s the Catalina blue. These are proven winners plants, most of them. This is a surefire rose beonia. Another one of my favorites. Just a rock star in the garden. And this is the elimination apricot or something like that from proven winners, a tuberous beonia. And look how well it’s just trailing. Stunning. Stunning. Stunning. And this elephant ear just gets massive. I keep cutting things back and then I’ll come back out here and I mean, look how big that is. It’s huge. I have to keep cutting them back because they shade my plants a little too much and so they’re starting to get a little leggy, but still really pretty. The diamond frost euphoria is still alive in there, just creeping through. We’ve got some different kolas varieties, some asparagus fern, uh, uh, sweet Caroline, black, I don’t know, can’t remember exactly. um potato vine, some lamian back here, which is really pretty with these pink blooms. It’s blooming again. And these beonas next to it. Oh my goodness. I’m definitely going to do bagonas in this every year. There’s so many different beautiful kinds. I’m kind of missing some pink out here, so I might do pink next year. But love that this pot’s pretty much the same. Well, exactly the same. a little more leggy because um it’s a little more shaded than the other one, but still so stunning. And I love these leaves. They have kind of some hard water spots on them for some reason. But this dark color leaf and waxy leaf is just so lush and gorgeous. I just absolutely love them. Looks a little cluttery with these little topiaries, but they’re all on drip, so I haven’t moved them. But it does look a little cluttery. Next year, maybe I’ll find a new spot for that so these can kind of just be the show. So fun. Okay, my hydrangeas are always looking a little sad this time of year, and it always makes me question if I should keep them here. We’ll see how they keep doing. It’s going to get more and more shaded here because I have some trees that are getting large. So, we’ll give them we’ll give them a chance. I’ve only had them in here for a couple years, but they definitely get burnt and a little crispy and a little sad this time of year. So, we’ll see. But, they’re still beautiful when you look out here. It’s just when you come up close. These that are a little more protected look a little better than these on the edge, which definitely get more sun. But this area just needs to mature a little bit and I think they’ll be fine. This is a tree that I have here. This is a honeyloust. I think it’s a shade master, but I’m not exactly sure. But they’re really, really pretty with these leaves, and they turn a beautiful yellow in the fall. You can see they’re just barely starting to turn. And so it’s really beautiful and golden when you look out here. And it’s gotten quite big this year, which is really, really great. Okay, not a lot here. My serendipity aliums are all done. I need to probably cut those back. I’m just going to leave them until I can no longer see any purple. And we’ve got just a few sunflowers poking through. And yeah, some auga that’s doing nicely. Those sunflowers are really doing great. I came in here and planted more rebecia here because I absolutely love it next to my blue spruce trees. Can’t say that. Tongue twister. And this area is really pretty. I love this ground cover right here. I’ll put the name because I can’t remember what it is, but it is just gorgeous. I love it so much. And I kind of cut everything back here so we can kind of see these denths. They can give us more blooms now. And I love these ground covers that you can see in here. They just add a nice little dimension right here. More rudekia here. There’s my bubblegum. It’s in a hard spot, but I knew it would be like the best thing there. Even though it’s giving us just a few blooms, it’s you can see it when you look out here. It’s really pretty. I wanted to pan over here so you can see we kind of made a circle. So, this is the area that I want to put a flower bed. So, we were going to put a pool in here, but I don’t think we are anymore. So, I’m going to come and just make a big a big flower bed. Won’t that be so fun? Oh, I can’t wait. There’s just so much grass. I need to get rid of some of the grass. So that’s what I was talking about when I was saying I’m going to move some plants into a different spot and it will be over there. So down here you can see the lamium filling in real nicely. It’s so happy there. It’s starting to bloom again. Can hear those cute birds in the trees. Here’s the white super tuna just peeking up over the rock. When you look outside, this is what you see. It’s really, really nice. And not a ton going on right here. Loving this hooker though. This is a doulce spearmint from Proven Winners. Gorgeous. And then this area is really pretty, too. Actually definitely need to come in and add more evergreens and a little more height. I want a little more height in here. But I have the Surefire White Surefire White Beonas. But I have the Surfire White Beonas. They’ve done pretty well here. Everything else that I’ve planted here, annuals, they do terrible. These impatients, I’m done planting impatients, they never do well. They never bloom. But those have done the best. So, I’m going to keep planting those there. And this soil will get better and better and better as we go. It’s been a little slow going. Lots of different hookas and hookeras in here, bringing us a lot of different color. More surefire white beonas. And then I love the loilia in here. Look how stunning that is. So pretty with all the different colors. Really, really nice. I went out of town and some of it died out over here. It’s obviously not getting hit very well with the sprinklers right there. So, I lost some, but that’s okay. And yeah, not much else is going on. And that gar right there is one of the plants that I want to move in that spot, too. So, for right now, it’s just kind of sitting there. So, that is it for the backyard. It’s a beautiful evening. And I hope you guys enjoyed that. I’ll just pan around here so you can kind of see the layout and get an idea of how it really is. But that’s it. I hope you guys join me for my front garden tour. That will be up the next video. And thanks for joining me. We’ll see you guys next time. Bye. [Music] [Music]

Love the cool tones with the white blue and dusty miller! New gardener here in Ohio and that cool tones has inspired me to try an area of that in my garden!
Beautiful and colorful, and the lawn is so pretty, I also like the place by the river. ❤
I love the whites and purple! So stunning! I tried the white supercal this year and it did great! Large white clean blooms. I planted with white out superbena. Self cleans but not as vigorous as supertunias. Fits nicely with other plants. Would recommend a try!
What a gorgeous garden , everything is amazing! Love it 🤗💚🌺

Really miss the pink bubble gum petunias and mezzo that cascaded off your wall last year. It was spectacular!

Your hardscaping is spectacular It makes all the difference with the excellent choices of plants that you chose. Everything looks terrific. Did you plan the entire space before you planted anything? It's very professionally done. I have the surefire begonias going in a couple places in my garden as well and they never disappoint. next year I will look into the mini vista white Its so pretty and I love how you pared it with the dusty miller. Thank you for sharing such a great garden.
