Hi my ixora plant started getting this powdery growth on one of its flowers recently. It slowly started spreading to other flowers and flower buds. I’m new to plant care. Can you please suggest what to do?
The plant gets enough sunlight as it is in a west facing balcony. I water it as usual like i have been doing for the past few months.

Huge mealybug infestation. I’d use fire.
Looks like mealy bug. You can knock down the population by spraying it with strong jet of water … Look up homemade soap spray recipe….it clogs the breathing pores if the insects… Usually safe for most plants but not cactus and succulents
Hi Op!
How attached are you to this plant? Would you mind throwing it away? Because yes, you can save it. But it’s going to be a long and arduous process. You will need cotton swabs and isopropyl alcohol. You must crush the white bugs with a soaked cotton swab. Each and every single one of them. And you will have to do it again every few days, until they are all gone. But keep in mind, they might come back. At some point, it’s easier to let go the plant and get a new one.
