Hi Laura, I so did truly enjoyed this video with the bulb planting at Mom’s, the Lovely Memories U make with the Sweet Children, Sis & Mom together Baking. Seeing the True Love Yr Family Has and sharing that love is so wonderful and Can A Blessing to one’s that hasn’t a family! Thank u to Mom for inviting us into her home and welcoming us in and doing this several times a year as a matter fact. she’s a truly lovely lady inside & out. Oh I loved Mom’s hair up, I hadn’t seen her hair up like that before and she looks gorgeous like that. I also enjoyed watching stuff and plant all 3 bulbs in yr container. I have never gotten my bulbs, from a nursery before to plant. Just have bought packaged, cheap, in a kit has cheap pot. I’m going to my favorite Nursery, Casey’s Garden Shop in Bloomington, IL to purchase all kinds of Amarillo’s bulbs. I truly love yr all u and your family do put this together and share with everyone. Thank you.

A whirligig?
I thought we were the only one with a truck hoe!! My winter freeze happened 5 weeks ago so it is wonderful to watch you planting while Christmas cooking at the same time.
When I asked Dr. Googly, they said "German Candle Carousel." I'm sure there is a snazzier name than that but that's what came up! 🙂
I literally gasped and then laughed out loud in the first two minutes. I thought I was so original for having a "truck hoe"😂 I have a truck stool that rides in the bed also. Short people tools!

The papilio amaryllis are naturally smaller..
They will actually multiply in a pot if wintered over in a warm place. They don't seem to need that dormancy period to rebloom, at least mine don't. I've had them for years!
As someone who lives in zone 3 northern Minnesota. Warm falls/winters honestly scare me. It has been very warm here the last few years and I have seen more insect pressure and fungal diseases in my garden that we never used to have. We have worms in our apples for the first time ever, and getting lots of fungal diseases on our lilacs especially and I attribute that to the warm winters. When we had cold winters nothing could survive so I’m really hoping for a lot of snow and our usual cold winters to get rid of the insects that never used to be able to survive here.
But when you are cooking or baking for other people you are supposed to wear plastic gloves with your family you r choice 😊

It’s okay to have dirty shoes but no socks!? What is that? 😮 If I was your mom I would be all over you to put on some decent socks, specially after eating lunch. But well, I guess that if the shoes get wet and the socks too, doesn’t really make a difference…

Don´t know if anybody already said it: the thing your mom got from the netherlands- in Germany we call it Adventpyramid or Christmaspyramid. You can get them from small to very large and they still make them traditionally by hand especially in Germanies Ore Mountains. The city most famous for it and other woodwork like nutcrackers is Seiffen. I bet you would love it there- it´s Christmas paradise all year round.
Oh, wish we could smell your Mom's kitchen. Please thank her for allowing us to visit virtually her beautiful kitchen and gardens. Oh and thank you for the recipes. I cant wait to try them out. Laura you sure got a workout with planting all those bulbs, but I am hoping you will take us back in the Spring when they are blooming.
