Many are already planning for Christmas 2025, exploring gift options and snapping up a variety of impressive Advent Calendars. However, if you’re forward-thinking enough to consider summer 2026, now is the perfect time to start ticking off items that will enhance your garden for what we hope will be another pleasant spring and sizzling summer. Gardening is all about forward planning, right?
So, when planning ahead, a couple of things spring to mind. Firstly, what would truly make a difference and secondly, where will you store everything while we await the return of warmer weather? With brands like Amazon, Wayfair and Debenhams launching their 2025 Black Friday deals, there are plenty of gardening essentials that are currently on sale.
As someone navigating this process with a young family and a new garden, I’ve already purchased a few items that have made a significant difference, and I’m considering adding some more for 2026.
Pressure washers
To keep your garden paths and patio looking tidy, you might want to consider investing in a pressure washer. While some find the task of clearing off winter’s grime soothing, others may find it tedious.
Regardless, if you’re going to tackle the job, it’s best to have the right equipment. Bosch is always a reliable brand, reports Birmingham Live. Their Bosch EasyAquatak 110 high-pressure washer is currently available on Amazon for £59.99, representing a 30% discount.
Kärcher is another popular pressure washer brand, its distinctive yellow devices are a favourite for many. Available on Amazon, the 4.5-star rated K 4 Power Control Flex Pressure Washer is currently discounted by 43%, priced at £137.11.

Storage
Let’s tackle the mundane but crucial part now. Where will you store everything, especially when storage space is scarce?
In my recent experience, the answer has been ‘outside’, and the Keter Westwood 570L Outdoor Garden Furniture Storage Box has more than justified its purchase since we bought it before the summer. Now reduced by 23% at £114.99, it offers even better value.
Easy to assemble, the box is watertight and waterproof, can accommodate at least six decent-sized storage boxes and is lightweight when empty.
A stellar 4.6 star rating on Amazon indicates I’m not the only one impressed, with one customer commenting: “Decent-sized very easy to put together, I did it on my own, only a few screws to put in, and the hinges are very easy to screw in, locate them in the slots provided, and they are very good hydraulic hinges.

Whilst I don’t own this specific model, among all the garden storage solutions I’ve put together over recent years, the Keter brand has proven the most user-friendly and dependable.
Leaf blowers
As we’ve all been recently reminded, the potent mix of torrential rain and fallen leaves can create a messy and potentially hazardous situation. Bearing this in mind, a Thompson and Morgan 3-in-1 Blower Vac 3500W has been dramatically reduced at Yimbly to almost half its original price.

One game-changer in my garden over the past couple of years has been a cordless lawnmower, which eliminates the hassle of dealing with wires. I personally use a Greenworks cordless model.
The closest equivalent on Amazon is this Greenworks 40V Cordless Lawnmower, which comes with two batteries (I opted for the cheaper option of one battery – a decision I rue to this day). Currently, it’s down by 40% in a Black Friday deal, priced at £179.99.
For those working within a tighter budget, Debenhams offers the Einhell GE-CM 18/30 Li-Solo Power X-Change Lawnmower for £129.22. However, it’s worth noting that this model, like many cheaper lawnmowers, doesn’t come with a battery or charger included.
Gazebos
Having an additional cover that can be easily erected and dismantled as needed can prove quite handy – I’ve certainly found it useful in my own garden with a little one scampering about. The All Seasons 3x3m Heavy Duty Fully Waterproof Pop-up Gazebo fits this requirement perfectly, and is currently discounted by 11%, priced at £159.99.
It’s perfect for those moments when you want to enjoy the outdoors but need a bit of extra shade. It’s available in a variety of colours, with the white and navy blue versions offering the biggest discounts.
