I used the Milwaukee so much I burned the trigger switch and it served me well.
I try to steer clear of those 40v ryobi batteries. I do have the 18v equivalent but it’s not as great as my Milwaukee
FugitiveB42
I have the DeWalt 60v one and I’ve tried their 20v one. If you have a lot of leaves, I wouldn’t bother with the 20v one, you’ll be there all day. The 60v one has good power, but you will probably want some spare batteries as the 12ah ones run out after about 25-30mins. I haven’t tried the other. Randa you listed to compare though
DependentPriority230
Where exactly did you find that $100 ryobi?
Cold-Acanthaceae8941
I have multiple crews that use Milwaukee and Stihl. The Milwaukee blower performs really well. Stihl is a great product as well for a commercial application but man they drain batteries fast.
trlast09
I have a Kobalt 80v that came with a weed wacker for 299(on sale). Both are going strong for 2 years running. Idk about the ones you listed. Sorry. It’s 360 now. Blower and battery are 279 now.
I use it mainly for clearing off the patio and it’s amazing at that. Same thing for the driveway and walkways and stuff, still use the gas blower for the yard. I have a half acre and large trees all around so we get a ton of leaves.
MajicDwarf
Milwaukee makes a great product. I bought a Dewalt thru Amazon Prime because of the pricing and only because of the deal.
mike_tyler58
I have the Ryobi and love it.
I’m in Arizona so I’m mostly dealing with dust, mesquite pods and palo verde flowers
Engineerasorus_rex
I’ve got the Milwaukee and a 40v Kobalt. The Milwaukee does fine, but doesn’t move as much air as the Kobalt. If you have a big yard, you’ll want more than one battery. I get maybe 15 mins on high from a 12.0.
NBos1070
Im a roybi fan. Have multiple and the have yet to let me down
Sarkastickblizzard
I have a different 40v Ryobi and it works great for the yard
NoSolid6641
I’ve had the Ryobi one for 5 years. Love that thing
I use it 2x/mo.
buttgers
I got that Milwaukee. It’s fantastic, and I don’t take out my gas powered Husqvarna as much these days. It’s so convenient, quieter, still powerful enough for most jobs around my yard, and the battery lasts pretty long. Helps that I have the mower as well, so I have 5 batteries on hand at any given time.
NorthernLights92
I’ve used all three at work actually. I liked the Milwaukee the best. It’s does drain the battery quick, but I usually have a spare with me.
xxxFIRECROTCHxxx
I have the 20v dewalt and the Milwaukee fuel. Both of the ones you have pictured. The Milwaukee one blows the dewalt one away! Literally. The 60v dewalt is really good but it pricey for a battery powered blower. If you have a half acre or more of leaves go gas back pack blower. I use mine for grass clippings and drying my truck and motorcycle after washing, and blowing out garage.
CorrectMarionberry92
I worked at a place where ryobi’s were kind of looked down on and the old Milwaukee stuff was prized. But I think Ryobi stuff is great. It’s 40 volts and half the price. Ryobi for the win!
flex_point
I have the Milwaukee battery blower, large battery last 10/20 minutes small battery 5/15 minutes depending on speed setting. Works great for back deck and small walkway. No way to use for law unless you have a lot of batteries. I have a echo PB 508t gas leaf blower for lawn.
Timmeh-toah
Ryobi and Milwaukee are owned by the same company. The ryobi still comes with a 5 year warranty. Get that one. It’s cheap and will perform well. (Coming from someone who uses red for work, and green for home.)
mydarkerside
That Ryobi blower and battery is a good deal. Those 40v batteries are pretty expensive by themselves. I have an 18v blower that’s fine most of the time, but not stronger enough for wet leaves on the grass lawn. What’s important to compare is the CFM, and the Ryobi’s the highest at the lowest price.
Glass_Covict
CFM is the amount of air, cubic feet per minute. Clearly Ryobi claims the most. Though I am not sure on battery life. $400 is wild for a blower imho
WarCute8380
I use ryobi, but $99 for 550 cfm is best deal as far as blowing power, but it’ll run longer I assume on the 12 Ah battery from Milwaukee…
DrBabs
Get a 60V or 80V if you have the means to. The higher the voltage, the more powerful the blower.
craigrpeters
I’d consider buying into the broader ecosystem vs just one tool. Ego blowers are great, and have lawnmowers, etc you might buy in the future
CareerUnderachiever
What batteries do you want to start collecting for various tools. I use Milwaukee for the blower and the power tools. Highly recommend the xc8.0 battery for longer blower time to go along with a few xc5.0’s
Bigtexasmike
No replacement for displacement. Love the power of backpack gas. Nothing compares in the battery realm. But ive got a lot of area to do so 18v isnt gonna cut it.
JetreL
I’m a huge EGO fan. The tools are pretty solid and battery life is really good. But spring for the larger batteries.
Puddwells
Dewalt has the best batteries I’ve heard. I love all my dewalt tools, including 2 blowers
CptnDikHed
Milwaukee is better here. They also have the best warranty – and if you have other m18 stuff, the 12.0 battery is awesome. You are nearly getting the blower for free
Juiceemang
Haven’t tried any other brands yet but I found a ryobi blower sitting in a field for over a year. I grabbed it and bought a 40v battery and it’s been working great for the last couple years.
ChessIsAwesome
Landscaper here. I would say no. I always laugh at homeowners taking 10minutes blowing a few leaves. With the blower going peeeeeeeeeeeeew. Kress has amazing and strong hand held blowers.
Itchy-Mechanic-1479
Whatever system you go with, make sure the batteries fit all the tools and stick with the same system. I can swap out my DeWalt blower batter for the DeWalt weed eater battery and get better performance. I am hoping they come out with viable electric rototillers. I am just tired of dealing with carburetors on lawn equipment.
basemodelbird
Leaf blowers are very demanding on batteries. That milwaukee is probably the best in class and thats a big battery. Thats probably close to what a lot of places charge for just that battery.
logicallycorrect
I just bought the EGO 650cfm blower and it is amazing.
