I used to have a pet turkey! A friend was raising them for thanksgiving and I asked for one for myself and I wanted to help process it. Well the turkey ended up coming to live at my house for a variety of reasons and I fell in love and couldn’t eat it. It had a best friend chicken that would sleep on top of her on the air conditioner condenser. Whenever I opened my back door she would run to me like big bird 😆. Her breed was intended to be processed young as I read that they would develop leg issues as they got larger. Well since she slept so close to the ground something came into my yard and eat her. I was pretty upset but glad someone got fed by her since I couldn’t do it 😢
